I agree with your comment about smell of coconut oil and sweat. They don't like the smell when you reheat your food in the microwave at work place. Better not to take our food instead eat salads, sandwich etc.

In Canada most of the hospitals are perfume free atmosphere, nurses are not allowed to put any perfumes. In Canada it is very difficult to do higher education for nurses (RN)they don’t accept any online higher studies. But in USA it is possible.

I think you gave a confusing statement here by saying there is no maternity leave here. Maternity leave is available depending on the benefit packet provided by the hospital. I know it is not called “Maternity leave “. You can take the paid time off and sick leave available . You’re right you won’t get 6 months but you can take up to 6 weeks paid or unpaid. some hospitals will let you take FMLA up to 1 year without termination. During FMLA you will have to pay a certain amount back to hospital to keep the benefits like health insurance. You can take the sick leave from 2 weeks before your expected date of delivery. Most nurses go to work until the last day so they can take the full 6 weeks off.

Jaya, ഞാൻ 2006 NClex പാസ് ആയി ഒബാമയുടെ ടൈമിൽ retrogression വന്നിട്ട് അമേരിക്ക ക്കുപോകാനുള്ള എംബസി ഇൻ്റർവ്യൂവിന് തൊട്ടുമുമ്പ് പോകാൻ പറ്റാത്ത ഒരാൾ ആണ്. അതോടെ എൻ്റെ അമേരിക്കൻ സ്വപ്നം പോയി ജീവിതത്തിൽ ഒന്നും ആകാതെ പോയി. NCLEX, CGFNS, IELTS എല്ലാം പാസ്സ് ആയി എൻ്റെ husband, 2 കുട്ടികൾ, എല്ലാവർക്കും വിസ യുടെ പണം അടച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇപ്പൊൾ 55yrs aayi. Any advice ? ഞാൻ R..A.K college of nsg Delhi ഇൽ നിന്നും BSC nursing graduate ആണ്.
