Omg it’s so hard i bought my son a phone the summer before he started sixth grade because I heard from other parents with older children and was told they’ll need to call you for after school activities etc. Thank god he’s a straight A honor student now a freshman in high school. Yay so happy you said that about addiction! I totally agree it’s not a disease honestly. The recovery society has a very low success rate. There’s a model called the Freedom Model and it helps people recognize free will and choice and people end up choosing to quit more often than with AA or 12 steps! It’s really truly a choice. Maybe your more susceptible to it but I’ll never buy that thing about having a sickness my whole life! What a joke!

Yeah, if my power goes out my phone will still work. (Must be old school with cords not cordless) lol. I don't have to worry about a charged cell also reception in rural areas can be terrible on cell phones. Make sure if a cell is your only phone your kids know how to get in and out of it at an early age in case they need to call for help.
