I wasn't with him until 15:45 "Anxiety meds just turn the alarm down. It doesn't fix anxiety..." I WISH people understood this. Meds take the edge off-- sure but therapy is where the work is.

When my husband of 39 years died I was told by therapists I was depressed. But you are correct. I wasn’t depressed. I was sad and needed to express those feelings. How do I carry on alone. Now it’s 11 y are and I have learned to live alone.

Can we have Dr. John Delony as a regular guest to help everyone unpack, respectfully?

YES!

Lightbulb moment! You can have anxiety and take the meds so that they can turn down the volume! The meds are the tool to help you get to the next step. They are not the destination. You still have to do the work whatever that might look like… It just makes it easier to get started to actually do it. Mind blown! Wow he is just so incredibly smart

Cool guest! I just got his book in a package with Awareness by Anthony DeMello, The Power of Now, 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Daniels, and The Body Keeps the Score. It's great that we have these resources today.

Comfort is the new addiction, along with instant gratification. Therapy is the new church. Therapists have replaced pastors or elders’ roles in society.

Hi Zach and Dr. John, I’m watching your video. I like Dr. John’s videos. This is my first time seeing your show Zach. I have a question for Zach, do you have a lightsaber sticking out of your microphone 🥹?! That’s funny, even if it’s an optical illusion. I really like Dr. John’s inspirational story about his Mom. Mental health is complicated.

I worry that solving ourselves may become as illusory and distracting as any other addiction. And hope at some point we return to studying God instead of our feelings as an authority greater than ourselves, who supports human life better than any of our own thinking about our individual issues ever could.

Excellent podcast! So intetesting! I love you guys. Though I must admit I am feeling very sad for Dan. He is such a good guy, he really adds to the show but personally I think he should be in therapy. What a harsh way to live. With all respect I think something needs to be uncovered there.
