11:00 Yes, the people who badmouth Rome are crazy. Of course there are a lot of tourists (I wonder why!) and of course there is some graffiti - like everywhere else. And of course there are scammers and pickpockets along with the tourists. But Rome is the most beautiful city in the world, nothing comes even close! If you have even the slightest interest in history, religion, art or good food, Rome is a must.

About Rome, Rome is definitely safer than 99% of any American city. I traveled all over Italy, italy in general is much safer than most other countries. There are some streets in Rome where there is graffiti, I hate graffiti, but it's only in a few areas. If you're into history, Rome is spectacular, there are 2000 year old buildings there everywhere. It's an open air museum

Cinque terre is owned by local families, the people living there are normal people with average income. There's lots of tourists nowadays but there's no rich people that own this, just local fishermen

Sorry but your question about 'they have a car?' in that town in Puglia and 'where they park?' looks really 'silly american' to Italian and European people. Some of our towns are very ancient and beautiful, with thousands of year of history and a lot of wonderful things to see, artistic, cultural, naturalistic. Yes, they was mostly build where cars didn't exist, but they always worked well. Yes we have cars, quite everywhere, and we park them. But we don't like to destroy our cultural heritage filling our towns with highways or parking lots that takes more space that the peopke's houses, and we don"t need and don't like to use a car to do everything. We walk much more and maybe this is better for our health. Sorry to be a little too harsh, but your reaction seems really typical-american and disappointing. I don't believe that many cities and towns in the U.S.A. are better. The answer to your other question, if any town in the coast is only occupied by 'investors and rich tourists' is NO. They are not fake town built for tourists, they are real and alive. Sure there are tourists, some of them rich, and structures to receive them, but they are inhabited by the people that born there, and no one could make them go away.

This is not true. They are mostly goldsmiths and jewelry shops.

@@conigliostressato They were, and some still are, houses. Then if you build a jewelery shop in a house... it still remains a house. Weren't they perhaps laboratory houses for butchers and other artisans? did I read a different story? Ps: I have never talked about houses inhabited today

@@kio6697no, Ponte Vecchio was designed to host 43 (or 46) shops since it’s construction in 1345. They may have been squatted by shopowners in the short time they tried to privatize it, but it was never the intended use of the spaces.
