I think people underestimate Amad. He was trafficked to Italy, he's had some tough moments in his life and every time he gets the opportunity to play for Manchester United, you can tell he's doing everything he can possibly do to not waste that opportunity. He'll fight for every ball, he'll get taken out in tackles, dust himself off and keep going. He's also got great skill and vision but that underlying determination is something United have been lacking. He's humble but he's hungry.

This fanbase sees football in 2 different ways. If you put down concrete figures, you're good. You deserve to play no matter what. Whereas others look at an individuals performances as a whole and assess whether what they are doing is for the benefit of the team. Amad is clearly, clearly our best winger by a mile. It's not even close. Yet some fans want to say that because Garnacho is putting up better numbers, he is the better player. it's not even close. Amad can dribble, Garnacho and Rashford can't, they are direct runners. He's different on so many levels. He made his debut in 2021, it didnt take long for me personally to recognise his ability. The lack of nuturing that has taken place since he's been at United is a travesty. He's about 2yrs behind and is still by far one of the better players in our squad 🤯

Garnashers is just a road runner that manages to nick a goal here and there, which, lets be honest doesn’t really amount to much. Most of his goals are meaningless because we usually lose or draw the games. Rashford on the other hand lacks footballing IQ and work rate, however he can be better with technical ball players around him, as seen with Greenwood & Martial seasons.

I see small changes with Ruud - 2 proper holding midfielders that maintain their position, Bruno playing closer to them and not roaming as much. No surprise but that small tweak has seen Casemiro, Ugarte and Bruno all play way better in the last few games than under ETH. The upturn for those 3 is obvious - and it's because our midfield donut has been filled. We've seen more direct passes from the back 5, full backs passing direct down their wings, some long balls over the top, rather than inverting and looking inside every time. A few more crosses, more goals, better cohesion in our play. I see more belief, chemistry, understanding and being able to carry out the managers tactics. It's probably just being liberated from suffocating tactics, rather than managerial tweaks though. We start with a new system (probably) under Ruben though so none of the above matters. Just delighted to see some wins and improved performances to reduce the pressure and negativity. Keep up the great content lads and support the shirts

Man, Ruud really shouldn't have said anything about wanting to stay. The media have latched on to it and created this story where every game is an audition for Amorim, the press are like "has he called you yet? Has he called you yet?" and makes Ruud look like he's begging for. a job and now Amorim has a headache he doesn't need. Van Nistelrooy and the press have put him in an awkward position. If he keeps Ruud on he'll be asked questions about it, if he decides not to keep Ruud it creates this myth of Ruthless Ruben and the press turn on him early. All Ruud had to say was "I'm here to take charge until the new manager comes in, that' sit." and moved on.

Amad has 4 goal involvements in 15. 0.5 goal involvements per 90. Beyond that, amad makes more tackles, but Garnacho makes more interceptions. Amad has a higher defensive work rate, but Garnacho as a forward, has a far higher attacking workrate and output. It just doesn't bare out that amad is better... and Garnacho is 2 years younger.

Your analysis is so narrow. You have to look at their overall play. Amad has a far superior football brain than Garnacho. He can play in tight spaces, looks after the ball very well, dribbles better than Garnacho and works harder than Garnacho defensively as well. He's working at an assist every 395minutes of football. Garnacho gets an assist every 285 minutes of football. So if Amad is as you say looking to assist, and garnacho is only looking to score... even when his mindset is scoring goals, Garnacho is still getting more assists. Here is the thing. They are both great players. The only problem we have right now, is Garnacho is getting not just undervalued, but slagged off by sections of our fanbase; while Amad is being over celebrated and treated like he is the better player. We saw the exact same thing before with the likes of DvDB, who was apparently the second coming of scholes/keane/Pele and Charlton according to some people... which you only saw if you "know ball". It's the quality of the players, the recruitment that's number one, yes. But then the team selection is the biggest job a coach has, his assessment of players, physically and psychologically and what they can do on the pitch and the overall balance of the team. ETH was failing there this season.

Amad is averaging 2.6 chances per 90 mins compared to Garnacho 1.3 and Rashford 1.3. His final third passes are 20.3 compared to Garnacho 11 and Rashford 14.5. Distance covered 10.8 km compared to Garnacho 10km and Rashford 10.1km. Amad has to be in Amorim’s first eleven.

We won this match purely because we had better players. It has nothing to do with how we played. Still missing were the pattern of attacks. Very little chemistry among our players up front. Amorim needs to address this as soon as he arrives.

He is right about the manager and his infulence. You' re there to motivate the squad, to control it and do a few tweaks. Erik ten Hag was another victim of these players. The only fault Erik has done, was choosing the usual suspects like Rashford, Bruno, Dalot etc... and trusting them. The reason for the success that Ferguson and Guardiola are arguably the best managers of all time is the fact that when ever one player starts getting "too loud", you re out of the door. Look at Sane, Cancelo, Sterling, Jesus, Alvarez... If you are a bad infulence to the squad you re not going to be a part of it. Man Utd seems to be quite forgiving to those players.

Remember how everyone said McTominay was crap, not good enough etc. - he's top of the league doing great with Napoli. Because he is being used correctly. Casemiro is true champion, but he's been made to look awful and has taken a lot of unfair flak because the tactics exposed him weaknesses. He's old and past his best but like Ericsen is not a shitty player. Nor Bruno, De ligt. Mazroui, Evans, Martinez. Marcus has plenty of talent but it's not showing, no idea why. Our players have underperformed due to poor tactics and management, they are not shitty!

Our build up play is fine but we are terrible in the last 3rd. Hoiland goes missing to much, we play the easy pass to much and we never cross the ball in to the box in the air including on corners. There are never any clever little runs in to the box.

Amad is such a selfless player. He always wants to assist and never plays for himself. His dribbling is top and is a very intelligent footballer. He is better than Rashford and Garnacho at right wing. For me, our best wing pairing in Amad and Rashford. They have to start every game. Hojlund has to do more though. Thought he was poor and offered nothing. 16 touches all game and only 4/6 accurate passes. He isnt helped by the service as even Gyokores would struggle in this side. Amorim is gonna have his work cut out.

Personally I think the new manager is another 3 year trial to nothing. I don't think he's going to get any more out of this squad than Ruud can this season. We should've held out till end of the season. See how he does. Save the money. And maybe..... pick up Ancelotti in the summer (I'm certain mbappe gets him the sack soon)
