It's so nice to see you able to walk around the unit and work on it from all sides. I live in S FL and they usually don't put AC's in the attic or in the basement. Rather, they stick them in tightly confined "AC closets". Which, after they solder in the AC refrigerant lines, its dang near impossible to do a job like this. I don't understand why manufacturers don't make it easier to disassemble and replace common components like a drain pan. Anything made out of plastic is bound to crack, dry out, and deteriorate over time in a harsh environment like an AC system.

I have the exact same problem. POS unit or the person that installed it. It's really hard to see what's going on when you move around so fast. I'm getting motion sickness.

I don't understand how the inside of this air handler is so perfectly pristine clean. Has it never been used? There is a spec of dust on it.

I am a stickler for changing filters and maintenance. I use cheap paper filters and change monthly. Once a year I vacuum out the inside as far as I can reach with a wet dry vacuum with a soft brush attached and I may even use a little compressed air from a cheap pancake compressor.

”is it really that hard to do it right?” - second most used phrase by hvac service techs… only second to “seriously?!?!” Lol

Your primary heat exchanger looks like it overheated. Have a hvac tech that knows what there doing. Check temp rise and total external static pressure. Wouldn’t be surprised that you’re condensate pan melted causing your leak.

How did the jb weld work out? I completely gave up on using paste, Glooze, any type of welding material even plastic welding due to the fact that it was cheaper just to buy a new pan and install.
