It may also be a medication side effect. With a lot of psychiatric medications, there’s this side effect that makes you almost overly calm. It leaves you very “blank”. SSRIs can do this too. It also happens if you’re coming off or newly off of substances. It really sucks. It’s like walking through a fog all the time and you can’t get excited for anything. It goes away though with time, switching to a new dose or a different medication. But! I also think poor Amanda is just terribly uncomfortable. Her cohost talks over her, he leaves her in these long silences and doesn’t match her vibes.

@@whelkpeopleofdoom A very good point. I think she needed a better co-host, though. I hope she is sick , like they were friends for 7 years why would he all of a sudden sacrifice her dog to a blood moon , seems like this ex roommate has delusions and his reaction is that of someone who I hope has clearly delt with her shit way too much so why even react to her and it's probably so normal to him her doing this kind of thing, if he got outraged and tried to defend himself I would imagine he's guilty, " if you call me a pedo I'm gonna be like OK sure cuz I know I'm not a pedo ... if you call a pedo a pedo they are gonna get mad and defend themselves so no one believes it" sorry drastic example but trying to make a point lol also pretty convenient he deleted the footage and left as soon as she entered the footage and his dad is this magic lawyer who makes him untouchable , it just doesn't work like that

I am aware of Amanda Bynes because my kids loved her movies when they were growing up, and then because of her very public meltdowns. Looking at her in the clips you shared has been quite distressing because her general demeanor, and indecisiveness (about whether to continue with the podcast or not) suggests to me to that she is a person who is struggling with mental health issues. The poor love is obviously still not okay, and that she is seemingly continuing to surround herself with people who are not genuinely interested in her wellbeing. The whole thing is so terribly sad.

She has stated this on numerous occasions, and has been backed up by her (much older) siblings. Her father foisted her into the spotlight, then quit his job to be her "manager". They ( her parents) were living off HER money! No wonder she ended up sick! Imagine having to be "On" every day. It would be horrible! It’s also hard to see her with such a flat affectation. I was hospitalized and put on meds last winter for mental illness and I was so self conscious about performing on stage because I didn’t trust myself or the med side affects or how they would affect me. @ivanovskameow9997 ай бұрын
Right?! Like he pulled it directly from a bad movie script. It followed the classic "my accuser is insane, just an hysterical and delusional woman. But I am such a kind generous person who has tried valiantly and selflessly to help them, but must wish them the best from afar with no malice or resentment in my pure little rainbows-peace-and-light heart despite their spiteful ravings. Yeah I thought that. Plus he spent a lot of time saying things like “She’s very sick” but only said “It’s not true” once. I don’t know about him or anyone else, but if I’d been wrongfully accused of killing a dog, to avoid all the abuse & hatred that would come my way, I’d be making the “I didn’t do it” part pretty damn clear by repeating it often. His response kinda seems off. It screams manipulation to me. “Look, I’m going to call her a crazy lady loads of times BUT if I say I wish her no ill will & hope she gets help often enough, I’ll seem like a nice guy so you won’t call me out for calling her crazy. And if you do decide to call me out on it YOU’LL seem like the bad guy to those who can’t see past my manipulation tactics & they’ll turn on you instead.”

I was just...blank. that's the energy I'm getting from her in every video Ive seen in recent years. Unfortunately many of the meds they use to help stifle the difficulties with certain disorders not only take away the bad... but they erase the joyful parts of our personality as well. For me it caused a sort of lack of lust for life in general. Those around me felt that didn't recognize me during this time. I just hope she's able to find her joy again. I am in a FB group and we had a really great thread about women in media who have been villainized and looked down upon for reasons out of their control. Amanda Bynes was one of them, along with Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan. These women have really, unfairly, been through it. I hope Amanda Bynes has a good, fulfilling life!

Paul was an immediate red flag for me. And then him being accused of sacrificing a dog, whether he did it or not, just adds to the creep factor in my opinion! I grew up watching Amanda (I'm 35) and genuinly wish her nothing but the best! I hope she is getting the help she needs and that whatever she chooses to do in the future brings her joy and stability.
@thefreevolous7 ай бұрын
I’m straight up discarding that awful Paul character: Amanda seems completely jaded, sad and uncomfortable speaking in public, be it on social media or on that awkward podcast. She comes across as just not interested in anything that is being said, or even believing what she-herself says. Whichever skills at presenting a public persona and interacting with people she may have, they’re not available to her right now, or she can’t summon them, in a way. And her expectations regarding the celebrity guests show some kind of disconnection from reality, and perhaps some external misguidance. I know she has some past as a celebrity but not all paths are straightforward and one-note, and it seems whatever joy she could take from a public exposure type of career is not at all something that is fulfilling for her at the moment. I hope, whatever she gets into, using her privilege as a former celebrity or not, brings her some enthusiasm and lights a spark in her.

I appreciate the respect you showed her in this video. I have such a soft spot for Amanda. I don't want to speculate on her situation but with not seeming as lively as she has in the past, I feel like it might be best for her to avoid spotlight for a while still. So many well wishes her way ❤

As someone who's just cracking into the art of interviewing (really more like hoping to crack into), i can appreciate how stilted their conversation was. I find it hard to hold onto an unplanned question during an interview and have organic conversation. 😅😅😅
@vickimaccallum7 ай бұрын
Biggest tip (I did radio for 8 years) - note book with a one word prompt as the person speaks and EYE CONTACT! If you are wanting the person to respond, give eye contact. Don’t worry to be too polished if you can edit it out in post production.
@sheelfjohnson7 ай бұрын
I have one for you: make sure you really listen to the person.☺️ There is a podcaster I really like, but he'll miss something the person says and then ask them a question about that same thing later. Not great.

... because conversation is Never organic. It is always thought out. Even in the Moment. GOOD LUCK.

I remember watching her shows with my kids. She was cute and funny. She turned into a beautiful young lady, then, things went wild. I would have never recognized her. She has zero facial expressions. It's just so sad to see her like this. She was a vivacious, beautiful girl. I'm assuming she's on medication for her bi-polar, which could be affecting her. It's sad to see her like this. I wish for only the best for her. I hope she is successful in whatever she chooses to do!

"I would go to jail for me dogs!" Robert, same! I hope that story is not true. About Amanda (she looks strange) That podcast looked very awkward. I wish her all the best, but not everyone is made for that type of content creation.

Wow, I didn’t watch her podcast and seeing these clips of her are so so sad. Nothing like how she used to be. Prime example of how we need to protect our children and not exploit them for money, views, content, etc. let kids be kids and treat them well. On another note…the “I’m sure I could find something to sacrifice them to” with the look on your face, made me crack up, don’t mess with my animals. 100% agree

Wow I never realized how awkward she is as a person. Some people just aren’t naturally good at hosting a watchable show. The guests being interviewed can’t carry the weight of the show the interviewer also has to have some personality & charisma to make it entertaining…not even gonna mention the Paul dude.
