@ericadrake3879 ай бұрын
Yeah, if she’s can’t respect the parents’ wishes over a NAME, she can’t be trusted around the child. Because she won’t stick to any rules or routines set out whilst baby sitting etc. “Yes I know you raised several children perfectly fine. But because you insisted on not giving them their nap at all today, they’re going to fall asleep in the car on the way home & they’re going to be up all night. It’s now going to take several days before they get back into their routine. Plus several days of us all being grumpy through lack of sleep, all because you wanted to play with them for an extra hour. Surely, when raising your kids, you figured out somewhere along the way, that nap time was best for THEM? Oh you had to put up with your kids’ grandma’s doing that too? Guess they put their wants before their grandchild’s needs too then? How selfish!” 😂

I swear some women just lose it when they get their first grandchild. My friend was planning a sex reveal/baby shower party (not light the forest on fire or anything crazy) and would not tell anyone the sex of the child until the party. Her MIL kept bothering her about it saying that it was her RIGHT as the grandma to know before other people. The reveal was going to be a cake (white frosting with the blue or pink cake) and the MIL found what bakery, called them and told them that there was a last minute change to find out the sex (it was a girl) and then changed the icing color to be a purple color. Needless to say, the friend couple was furious and basically cut her out of a lot of stuff afterwards. Like they forbid her from being in the delivery room until everyone else in the immediate family got a chance to see the baby (like the cousins boyfriend was allowed in before her lol) and hospital staff take that shit seriously. The MIL apparently almost got kicked out of the hospital kinda serious. They eventually moved 5 hours away for a job advancment and part of me thinks it was to get away from her lol

The retail workers not stopping theft is such a valid point. I used to work for a well known chain restaurant just as a waiter. A lady walked out on quite a large bar tab. Being young and stupid, I went after her. Followed her to the road and round the corner onto the high street, and at that point she pulled a knife on me. I immediately backed off. It wasnt worth getting hurt. After that, I ended up in management of bars and restaurants, and I told this same story to every new hire. Ugh the Stanley cup thing. I just don’t get it 🤷♀️ As for eating snow, I live in Northern New York (think way at the top of the state by the Canadian border) in a rural town and we have always done this. “Maple snow” was often times a dessert after Sunday dinner. We usually get a lot of snow (measured in feet) and have large yards and areas of “fresh” snow to choose from. We loved it! We don’t do it so much now that the kids are grown but just seeing it makes me want to go out and get a bowl of snow lol love you and your content! Have a great week! Hugs! 💚💜🖤 Edit: I went through the same thing when I was pregnant with my son and then my daughter with the naming them situation. With my son, it was my husband who insisted that he be named after him. So, he’s a Jr. With my daughter I was told I HAD to give her this certain first name but I could pick the middle name 😳 THAT was the family tradition. I did put my foot down and named her what I wanted 🤷♀️ sometimes you just have to.

It has been reported that Target, amongst other large retailers, will keep track of the value of thefts from their store and wait to press charges until you've reached the threshold for grand theft, which is a felony versus misdemeanor! This is to help deter theft in general because the penalities for felony theft are much more severe than for misdemeanor or petty theft.
@MarjaMariachi8 ай бұрын
Target is practically a spy agency at this point! Back when iPods were a thing, there was a problem where people would buy them, open the box, and find batteries or a small weight -- no iPod. Target went through past transactions, flagging anyone who bought and returned multiple iPods. Then they went on eBay, found a seller in the area that was selling iPods without boxes, and placed an order. The serial numbers matched the empty boxes, and the seller was on the flagged list. BOOM! Busted!
@LanakilaMiller7 ай бұрын
In California it’s only $500 for the difference Ethernet a felony and misdemeanor. In most counties it can be dropped and a fine because it’s more costly for police and courts time for this type of crime. It doesn’t go anywhere nor on permanently from county to county either especially because they aren’t arrested just given a ticket and court date.

If on site, they would handle any apprehensions. If not, they reviewed the video and reported it. One of the biggest points was as a team manager and leader on duty we were not to stop people for exactly the reasons you said. It's dangerous. Also, the loss prevention team had to go through certification courses on how to apprehend and safely detain the subjects.

One of my colleagues and I went to the apartment and they had died while on the toilet. They were still ON the toilet. It had been 3 days since anyone had heard from this patient. We have a nerve near our tailbone called the vasovagal nerve and when we bear down (ie pooping), we push on this nerve, causing the blood pressure to drop. Otherwise healthy people may feel dizzy or lightheaded but can recover quickly. Someone with an underlying disease can faint or, like in the case of my poor patient, die due to the sustained drop in BP. A terrible way to be found although we did our best to preserve their dignity. I will never forget how shocked I was to see the aftermath 😢

Robert making all of us in the IBS club laughing is worth it all. The comparison to doing a doo and driving got me to giggling. Does he “bare down” while driving or look for his keys while on the toilet. Loving this new content!

It’s called snow cream. I’m 42 & in Tennessee we’ve always done it. Can’t be first snow of season for some reason. And has to be fresh- set a bowl out to collect it. Don’t go digging it up.. I’ve never gotten sick from it & don’t see any dirt if you collect into a clean bowl 🤷🏻♀️

I did the snow ice cream as a child and with my kids when they were little. Damn now I wish I’d have remembered to do this when we got about 8” of snow. Now I want it to snow again. 🥰❄️

It's the straining that causes the issue with the toilet. The vagus nerve can be triggered by straining on the toilet. That itself can cause heart skips and a weak heart may not be able to recover. I wanted to add that if you find yourself needing to strain on the toilet you should see your doctor. You may need to introduce a stool softener or a fiber of some sort to your diet. Do not keep straining though!

Or eat veggies and grains. It’s amazing how many people will not.

😂Lol! Robert that is what we call snow ice cream... It's delicious. We don’t get a lot of snow here, but about every 5 years we will get a huge amount. But we only used condensed milk and snow that we collected it after it snows for a while and put a bowl or pot out. 😂

The snow one is called "snow cream" and it's really popular here in the Midwest. But snow is... so disgusting 😭😭😭 Also with the toilet it's bad for you because the way a toilet is shaped applies a LOT of pressure to certain parts of your circulatory system.

Snow cream! I just use regular milk (though you’re supposed to use sweetened condensed milk), vanilla, and sugar. I learned how to make it from my mom’s stepmom. Also I have metal bowls and just set those out so I don’t have to scoop any up and risk dirt/rocks.

My Mamaw always made us snow cream when it snowed enough to do it. She would put vanilla and different things in it. It was delicious.

We used to make snow ice cream. When I was younger. Our whole family. My mom would gather it up and add certain ingredients and we thought we were so cool. But we live way out in the country.

Snow cream is quite common in the places I have lived (all within the continental US). My little one loves it!

Snow Cream! We have done this my whole life, even though we don't get MUCH snow where I'm from. But it's super common, and quite delicious! Plus, it's fun for kiddos (and adults, honestly).

Heyo, just weighing in on the toilet thing. It’s probably a cause of correlation not causation. People who spend a lot of time on the loo (30+mins??) likely have other issues that lead to a shorter life (gut issues, very poor diet). Rather than the time on the loo leading to a shorter life.

Oh no! I live in Texas and our mom used to make us snow ice cream when it snowed. She always waited until it had been snowing for awhile to “get the pollution out of the snow “.
