The problem is she is very condescending, and rude, towards people that politically disagree with her. When she speaks on social and political issues half the time she doesn't know what she's talking about. She has a, "I'm holier than thou" attitude and she takes zero accountability in her role of why people dislike her. Amanda Seales is no victim and she wants people like you to throw a pity party for her.

I don't think history should or will be kind to her. She attacked Tamir Rice's mother because Shaun King was using her dead son's name to raise money that wasn't going to the family to help them. She said Jussie Smolett doing the hate crime hoax was "noble." Amanda spit in the face of actual victims of hate crimes by doing that. These big names like Marc Lamont Hill and now Jemele Hill defending Amanda and not reading the articles that point out these issues, is some Candance Owens level grift at this point. Amanda is ALWAYS on the wrong side of things. History is showcasing that she's not a good person and that's why people don't like her.

Accused him of sexually assault, abuse ect ect then offered an bullshit apology, because you got caught lying. Also its not you say it's how you say it. Her approach is always aggressive, and if you don't agree with her she gets very very aggressive and speak over people. Also every project she have been on it has always been a problem with her. At the end of the day, if you always in drama and drama follow you everywhere you go, then you are the problem point blank period. SM is another level of peer pressure and it takes A LOT to stand your ground. Cheers to the Amanda Seales, the Candace Owens, the Omarosa, the Camille Paglia… it’s ok to go against the grain. The problem with Amanda is that she fails to actually listen to WHY people do not like her and become likeable. She doesn't care to be a likable person. I see how she talks to people in her comment section. It turned me off just seeing it and I lost the little bit of respect I had left for her. It's likely that people stand with her message but just don't like HER. I used to be a brash person with pure intentions. Storytime: I was a freshman at Norfolk State and working at Norfolk International at the gate and ticket counter for a major airline. I got a call from the counter to look up the notes of a passenger before they got to my gate. Said passenger was Amanda... It said to call her by her stage name and NEVER by her legal. This was when she was still Amanda Diva. She made it to my gate, and I tried to speak to Ms. Diva and be pleasant. She said nothing and snatched her ticket off the counter when I reprinted it with a seat upgrade on me (the flight to NY wasn't full) black woman to black woman and I couldn't even get a thank you, smile, nod, nothing. She could definitely be someone different than she used to be, but that encounter I had was not pleasant.

Sometimes people are shy when they first start out and don't know how to handle the public. They have to learn how to navigate that anxiety. She's on the autism spectrum. She shared that with Shannon Sharpe.
@LoveWinsItAll8 ай бұрын
@paulatrent60 I understand what you're saying, and that's valid, but she was seasoned on MTV at the time, and there's a difference between rude and shy. I definitely think she could be a different person today. I'm just saying that my interaction with her was not pleasant.
@paulatrent608 ай бұрын
@@LoveWinsItAll Shy doesn't always present the way we've been told or as it's shown in entertainment media. I've had people I knew in my youth come back and say how the were scared and didn't know how to handle themselves around people and circumstances they felt uncomfortable in. We just thought they were rude and standoffish. Not all people's emotions present the way we're conditioned to believe they should. Cultural differences, emotional events can change the appearance of what an individual's reaction or interaction looks like. The fact that those specific instructions were left about the interaction/transition speaks to how people on the spectrum control their interactions because public spaces with strangers can be overwhelming. I've worked with young people who deal with this. And course now that she's had time to work through this it will be better.
@LoveWinsItAll8 ай бұрын
@paulatrent60 I still understand where you're coming from, but it feels as if you're trying to shoe horn. I get how this can happen, but it wasn't that. @paulatrent608 ай бұрын
@@LoveWinsItAll Clearly the effect for you was traumatic. Your feelings were hurt in a particular way and that's what you are going to hold on to. Calling yourself a diva can be a part of the process to keep people at arms length. People are very good at creating conventions to do that. In the way that you are saying I' m shoe horning. Both are defensive behaviors. Hers and yours. You've carried this with you all this time and feel the need to cling to it and refuse to even consider a different reason for the behavior. Ask yourself why this has affected you so deeply.

People describe Amanda Seales as being a polarizing figure because she is an outspoken black woman. There have been black rappers or famous black men in America who have said or done some bad things whether it's toward women or people in general, but they are still well-liked. Those men don't receive any or little backlash from the things that they have said or done that some people may see as offensive. So this is sexism pure and simple.

and there lies the problem "folks be bothered with me for no reason" - theres always a reason. you may not understand it, and it MAY have nothing to do with you and more so projection- amongst other internal struggles on those people behalf, but there is always a reason... and continuing to act as if it just came from an empty grocery bag is gaslighting...most people dont feel this way about Tamika and her whole life is dedicated to US....you dont have to care, and tbh you shouldnt, IF you have no desires of changing yourself or growing from others perspective views of you, its spiritually taxing, but to complain or to voice aloud is to some what care...... shes not my cup of anything, not even my own spit to keep my mouth salivated BUT i clicked to give her a chance hoping shes done some self awareness after hearing peoples feedback because i will always support anyones advocacy work when it comes to our community, even if i dont support them as a individual in all other aspects BUT im a little glad she said this statement early so i dont have to sit through this interview of the same AS. i feel for her internal struggle,😢 the windows to her soul say a lot🥺, it makes me feel sad and i havent even had my lunch yet😓. still dont fk with her but its sad.

Amanda's delivery used to work my last nerve. Lately, I decided to listen to her because I could never say that she was ignorant, uninformed, boring, or unfair. I now listen to her daily, and I so appreciate her unique and totally necessary voice.

At 24:10 discussing how Amanda is polarizing. I don’t see how people would think that she is. She speaks her mind and she is absolutely correct about the things she says

@@CONEvtV You again!!!??? Amanda speaks what she knows i.e, lived experience, and she has a masters in African American studies, etc. While I don’t know everything she has said (I have other things to do, and others to listen to and watch) Amanda is not a wholly subsidiary member of corporate interests and speaks pure and utter facts. That’s why weak minded people have a problem with her

@@jeanc.5926 You again??? There’s a long list of weak people then. Everyone she’s worked with is the problem & not her. Okay. If you say so.

Truth and directness will always be at the other end of the spectrum of Mendacity covert moves. The road to righteousness is narrow but a lot of people wanna dance in a lotta truth adjacent lanes .

Thank you Jemele for having Amanda on. Great to see Amanda at her glam and positive best. Really sad to see people rejoicing in some one’s low point. As I said on Marc Lamont’s video in support. Hope she can have the last laugh.

Thank you for loving Black people Ms. Seales! I'm sorry for your loss. Another perspective... Your public responses (in my anecdotal survey) are received as (intelligent, but) immature. You're missing the peace that usually comes from consistent practice and is reflective of expertise. You are brilliant and beautiful. It's my guess that if you were to step back and look at the ingredients (tools/resources you have) with peace, you would reflect that peace and see clearer. People need peace. Sending you encouraging love ❤

I am locked in. When she said “I don’t like this world”…I knew that’s why so many come for her. Those people do love this sick world. My dear. Stay blessed by truth.

I do not think she harmful to the community, now this is an outsiders point of view. 🧘 Going up we were told "no one likes a know it all or a person that does not take accountibility but like I said She has not really given a real reason to be canceled ! Yes, I heard her said weird shit but all of us say things. Plus most of our FAVS say crazy things. I think she found her tribe so she will be ok also long as she not trying to force people to be in her tribe. go were u are welcome.👑 🙏✌🧘
