He doesn’t get scrapped/die he just retires to a more relaxed lifestyle; pulling slower “stopping” trains as opposed to the fast, heavy express. Id honestly react to the entire “Sodors Finest” it one of the best Thomas fan series on KZbin that delves deep into the lore and back story of Characters. I would definitely do Edward next.

Heyo Storm! :) Oh gosh, that makes a lot of sense. Within the story, have any major engines legitimately get scrapped, or do most also just do less strenuous work? It would be pretty dramatic if the Thomas franchise decided to scrap Gordon, so it makes sense as to why they kept him going. @@WhattheHay Not a problem at all! Its nice to see someone genuinely interested in the franchise and can appreciate the lore and character journeys! To answer your question, no none of the main characters get scrapped and continue to perform their everyday work indefinitely. Though there are a couple who have escaped to Island of Sodor to narrowly avoid being scrapped. Though there are darker elements to the railway series; one story in the book called mountain engines talks about an engine falling off a mountain and was too severely damaged to be repaired and instead his parts were used to repair other engines until there was nothing left, effectively “cannibalising” him though at the end it’s revealed to be a made up story to scare other engines into being careful. And another story about a misbehaving engine being turned into a generator and being abandoned (this one wasnt made up) so there are darker elements to the Railway Series but none of these transfer to the TV series for obvious reasons. Heyo Diamond! :) Aaah I see, that makes sense. It probably would be a bit distressing and morbid for that to be a constant theme throughout the series. Saying that an engine retires is very comforting and the easiest way to dismiss an engine's age/usage. That also makes sense realistically since some engines take easier routes and become transportation for tours. Heyo 4885! :P Ooooo I see, that's very reassuring and good to hear. Since The Railway Series sort of showcases engines being scrapped I wasn't sure if that was the case for all locomotives after a good amount of time. I suppose that all engines can be upgraded and used for simpler stuff, so that's a pleasant way to look at it. That actually wouldn't make too much sense if Gordon was scrapped, he's too big of a character to do that. I'm sure that people would get upset if he did eventually get scrapped. @@WhattheHay I was able to enjoy the video thank you also the engines working on Sir Topham hatt's Railway are safe from being scrapped Sir Topham Hatt never scraps his engines however steam engines working on the mainland do get scrapped but some engines in real life were preserved and I work on Heritage Railways or in a museum also can you do other reactions to Sodor finest from the unlucky tug in the order in which he made it so do Edward next then Henry skarloey and then James and then do other reactions from his Channel please. Also sorry for saying demanding but respond when you get this.

Fun fact: It was just proven that Gordon was built in 1920-21 so we were all wrong about the 1922 thing- (To be fair the video was made a year ago and the Lner A1’s were built in 1923-25?) But ya Gordon does have an Arc because…. He was built in the 1920’s and when he arrived arrived to sodor, it was 1923. At that time he was a modern engine and young so he still had a lot of sense to learn. And when he retires, he doesn’t die, he’s put on local passenger trains as Pip and Emma (the ones who replaced him) are now in charge of the express. Sodor is a safe place since let’s be real, literally all the engines and rolling stock are WAY past their time. But they are useful (why others aren’t so lucky and just get scrapped…They are not preserved and just those ones that come in…and then go out) And I do recommend seeing the other episodes of Sodor’s Finest lol Glad your back

If Toby is your favorite character in Thomas, I suggest keeping an eye on The Unlucky Tug. Sodor's Finest is one of his best series, and it's strongly hinted that Toby will the series' next installment.

Heyo Studios! :) It does certainly feel as though I've gained a lot of information about locomotives through this channel. Although I'm not the biggest buff when it comes to Thomas-related information, I feel better acquainted with more of the characters now than before I started this channel. I'm going to assume that those who write complaints or reviews on Thomas content are not fully aware of the franchise, which is reasonable since there is a lot attached to it. Additionally, if there is a parent who is unhappy with it they probably have something against it because of show content, maybe something they do not want their child to copy or learn. Most of my reaction videos consist of me just giving my general input, but this one just feels like it came off as more engaging.
