Thanks for sharing your goal setting process, Amanda! This is the first year where I’m trying quarterly goals for my personal life (I’ve done them for my business for a few years). I think it’s much more reasonable, and if I finish early, I can always add to it-or take some time off!

I agree with you Kim...Quarterly goals/projects are a great way to do it. I evaluate every quarter for sure. None of mine are really set in stone to work on for a year...except for my habits like scripture study and daily movement;)

Love your ideas! Especially what you are doing with your golden coil. Keeping that all going for as many yrs as possible. If I’m being honest I have found myself stuck in the new shiny item cycle! I seem to want to try all the things and rarely stick with one because I end up with squirrel brain! So many systems make sense n r great! But then choosing is hard. I love how you condensed down what works best for you and made it so. Thanks for the inspiration!

This was a great video. I have been implementing the same type of planners but it’s so helpful to see how other people do it as well. And I agree on one notebook to house your goals year-to-year, is so helpful and inspiring. Happy New Year!

Love the Life book idea! I think I will pull everything out of my rings (label it 2024 ) and store it elsewhere and use my rings strictly for that info from now on. My goals are in the back of my January book in my TN currently (along with space for 2025 books read, media read/watched/listened to, kids school schedules, etc.)

Happy new year, thanks for the uploads, always interesting & inspiring, informative & fun. For goals, no idea bc my lookahead never gets beyond a few days atm, it's a problem... You were talking about life seasons, I realise I'm in a season of chaos!
@AmandasFavoritesКүн бұрын
And that is okay:) It won't always be this way. And I think it's so brave of you to share this. I think many more feel this way and just don't talk about it online. I went through seasons when my kids were little I truly had no goals for myself outlined for years...and for that season it was fine! I turned out okay..and I was doing the most important work in that season of mine. xxx

Love this video Amanda! Love how thought out and tailored to your needs this goal planner is! I agree it makes so much sense to keep your goals cohesive over the years in one book vs different ones. I also love hearing about your Life book! I definitely need this in my life, I have only been filing away receipts etc but keeping an actual physical record is so much easier to reference. Thanks and Happy New Year! 💗🎇🎆🌟✨

Happy New Hear!!!! I like the ideas of multi-year goals all in one book especially if I developed a decasded long goal or reiterating goals/projects.

Hi Amanda, I purchased the habit trackers, how do I get to the download?
@AmandasFavorites2 күн бұрын
Hi! Thanks for supporting me, I hope you enjoy them! On the desktop website, you can access them by clicking on their page in the store and then clicking "view files." Make sure you're signed in! you can download them individually from there. www.patreon.com/c/amandasfavorites/shop Here's an article that shows an alternative way to do it: support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/16494151075981-My-purchases#01H82AG0FVMP5J7HZDE9VQAJAN

@ I tried that twice. It wouldn’t give me the access until I created a new account. I’ve had a lot of issues with Patreon with them charging me $5.00 per month when I wasn’t subscribed to anyone on there, I had to delete my account entirely to get the charges to stop.

Hi Amanda! I know you don’t wanna talk about personal goals, but I’m wondering if you can tell me more about discuss discussing school goals with your son. I homeschool and my oldest is in 8th grade - I’d love to learn more because I can use all the advice I can get!
@AmandasFavoritesКүн бұрын
My son really resists (16 yrs) if I try to tell him how to do goal or habit tracking at this point. This has just come about in the past few years...he used to be good with working with me on them. Being that your oldest is in 8th grade I bet they are still open to working with you;) My son just told me a few of his New Year goals on his own last night. So I don't pry- but when he shares them with me I try to give guidance on making action steps and reevaluating at summer time and again at back to school time. If your kids are open I would do a whole session of goal planning together in January & September (or when you start back to school). Another optional time would be the start of summer...they might want to make a fun goal- or a bucket list;) Maybe having them do a goal in each life area- Social/spiritual/physical/intellectual (those are categories our church uses for Youth- you can use your own that work for you:) And or a habit to track in that life area. They could make a vision board to correlate with their goal and hang up...we used to do that when my boys were younger. Hope that helps some;) xxx

@ thank you!! My kids are 4 years apart so my oldest always feels like a bit of a guinea pig and I struggle with becoming his coach and not his boss at this age - I love this method and point of view. Thanks for sharing!!

Suggestion to add your personal goal to your planner but keeping them private: add a tipped in notecards to the inside of your front cover. When you open your notebook at any page, you can flip open the tip and see it.
