I wonder if you could take the middle desk out of each row and create another short row up front? Might let you keep your wall sides open and have an aisle. It’s not your fault they packed your classes, but if I was the kid in the middle of those long rows I’d have claustrophobia so bad!

yeah that was what I was telling one of my friends, I'd hate to be the students that have to sit in the middle of the rows!

@@AmandaTeaches If I was one of the middle kids I'd just be consumed with anxiety about the disruption I'd cause if I needed to go to the bathroom... (I'm both fat and clumsy, the thought of trying to get me and my bag past all the other chairs whilst people were watching would derail my ability to think! SO hard for you...

Another reason not to put the desks against the wall is that the desks will mess up with the paint. There will be a line where they have rubbed against the wall.

I’m glad you showed us how the contact paper worked! I have it too and I am going to use it but I wanted to see someone do it first 😉 and hopefully a few weeks after school starts your classes will balance and you won’t need as many chairs 😬

Maybe someone suggested this as well, could you have the rows going vertical instead of horizontal? They would not be facing the front. Then have 6-7 desks per row, with 2 rows facing each other (arrow of 12 desks total) leave a walkway, 12 more, walkway and 12 more. If you need to add a desk to the end facing the front you could. Just trying to think of how you could have you walls/bb free and still have easier access to the desks for the students. Your room looks great! I love the Ikea cabinets. Good luck!

have ur desks vertical in row of 8 or so.... have two or three rows of the 8 desks (or how many) facing each of the walls... so, students will be facing the smaller bulletin boards.... and also facing eAch other. it will allow for a walkway to come about...

the smaller rows will account for less claustrophobia and students will not be caught in the center of the rows ((how they are now)... also will allow for students to get in and out at a much faster rate if they need to leave the room instantly

Your room looks great! Love the turn in box. When you use the command strips, let them sit for at least a couple of hours before you put anything on it. If not, they will fall off. I usually wait overnight, just to be certain. Can’t wait to see more furniture!
