Always like when you visit Tai and his scapes! So many great scapes and love that new one! 29 gallon tanks here are that odd 30” long so we’re used to that! Great tank size of the wio though! Also thanks again Tai for the suggestions for my flex rescape! I’m loving the bolivianum and how it’s growing! Keep up the great content George and hope all is well!

Cant wait to see this scape mature. The scape that was quickly shown is also beautiful. The plants, the rare fish, awesome.

I really like the videos with Tai. Super good perspective he brings on fish and habitat with his knowledge to aquascpers. We tend to look at the beauty factor too much while it is important to learn and find true beauty in what natures considers it to be. Which isn't always well organised and planted. So, when is that book coming? Can't wait... :D

2 and a 1/2 foot tank was pretty standard in my childhood, it was the biggest tank that could be fitted into the alcove of a small terraced two bedroom Victorian industrial worker's house, many now demolished as slums! A three foot was a couple of inches too long. Great video. Can't say I'm a fan of skimmers, some floating plants and spring tail colonies soften the surface and might actually reassure the shy fish in this tank. Obviously I'm thinking river margins and pools, not fast rivers.

What suspense. I watched right to the very end just to see where you would move that central stone to (you even rolled up your selves in anticipation of getting you hands in the tank!)… but you didn’t move it! 😂

Great! I can almost see the technique you used in that aqua scape.

Red light also penetrates water the poorest, so at a certain depth there is no red light to reflect off red organisms. That’s why so many deep see creatures are red. Don’t know if that applies as much to freshwater though.

I've had really good luck with my narrow leaf java fern in my botanical method aquarium. No CO2, really low pH (around 4.5). I think the key is letting it get settled in, takes a while to get going.

The question about color could possibly be that birds see more of a uv spectrum of color, so like Tye said shiny and and reflective colors are more visible to birds
@jackoghost2 жыл бұрын
perhaps the bright color of a neon tetra has a zebra effect, there is no odd one out, as with gold amongst silver. or perhaps the bright blue disappears in the predators visual spectrum, hiding in plain sight in David Attenborough color focused series, we see a tiger as orange with black stripes but its prey does not see orange it blends with the surroundings, so the tiger is not there in their view.

This video did it for me. My tank has been going through a bad time. Put 2 fish from a trusted shop without quarantine. Since then I have having deaths every other day. Balance is off. Have been in the dumps. But this reminded me of why I like what I like. Thanks. Any tips on how to get to bounce back fast is much appreciated

I’m pleased this video has helped. I find planting more with easy plants and changing more water is effective at improving health on an aquarium. Good luck 💚

I guess the visual field is distorted with the use of my ultra wide angle lens, thus leading to your incorrect sizing assumption. 😃
