The HQ race cars have a fair bit more power than my dads HQ Holden Kingswood wagon which ran the 66 kilowatt (88.5 hp) 202 cubic inch red Holden six & was coupled up to the trimatic automatic transmission. It had a top speed of about 85 miles per hour (140 km/h) whereas I've seen HQ race Holdens reach 160 kilometres per hour on here, they ran the Wade 933 controlled camshaft which gives more performance than standard but the valve springs have to remain standard. Exhaust headers are allowed to be used & the exhaust size is free,I have heard of a power figure of 155 & rear wheel horsepower & 135 flywheel horsepower (100 flywheel kilowatts) has been made by them,I think the latter is more believable. Holden used the 933 camshaft in the black 106 kilowatt EFI 202 in the VK Commodore apparently & it ran the 12 port cylinder head, the black carby 202 engine ran the same 12 port cylinder head but it ran the twjn barrel varijet carburetor & put out 115 horsepower (86 kilowatts). As far as looks the HQ Kingswood was the best looking Kingswood made,it was an improvement over the HG-HT Kingswood & I think Holden stuffed up by trying to make them look like a Cadillac from the HJ-HZ,they tried to improve it in the WB model but, that's my opinion!
