I grew 3 large bulbs under a shade tree in my garden in a large pot. In early autumn I went to bring them in to be dormant, to my surprise they had a stem and bud . I brought them in and later they each bloomed ,1,2,3, and what a gorgeous huge blessing. They also were double .

I plant only 1/3 of the bulb. I love the look of the exposed bulb and enjoy watching the bulbs grow.

When they start to grow and bloom will you need to repot these bulbs?

No, they should be fine in the pots we put them in. However, I did move them all last year into a hangging basket in the green house to live for the summer. The green foliage need to take in energy for the summer but the blooms only last 6-8 weeks until the next christmas season.
