Loved this! Would be so interesting to do one of these assessments. I agree with Robbie - I would love to hear more about the results and also some insights from the assessment of your movement on the wall. You mentioned that you became aware of habits/movement patterns that you have developed, and would be keen to hear more about these!

Great suggestion! I'll try to think of the best way to share a more in depth look at the results and talk a little more about the things that it made me more aware of! :)

Nice video! Just adding something in the comment as this mistake appears multiple times in the video : sports French grades don't take capital/majuscule letters and bouldering fontainebleau grades don't have small/minuscule letters. So if you read "6c" you know you are talking about a sports route and if you read 6C you know you are reading about a boulder problem.

This is such valuable content! Thank you so much for sharing Hannah but especially, thank you to coach Be for sharing the assessment itself -- I was just wondering how best to track my mobility progress! I'll probably add something related to high stepping but the squats to get the hips (and ankles) already.

Think what separates the strong from the capable in climbing is success in the isometric overcoming tests, the capacity to pull with the intent of movement but without the possibility. Especially the repeater sets where folks pace themselves because telling yourself to pull maximally on the ground is hard.
@hannahmorrisbouldering3 жыл бұрын
Its the first time we've done pull strength tests on the fingerboard as opposed to hang tests so it was super interesting. Also really interesting like you said to pace max efforts on the repeaters. Definitely lots of room for improvement!

So what grades should you two be climbing? Saw a different grade for each test but no final result
@hannahmorrisbouldering3 жыл бұрын
We didn't get an overall grade, it changed with the tests depending on where our strengths and weaknesses lay! I guess depending on the style of climb we were going for, we'd be more or less capable and the test kind of brought that out I think!
