I hope they don't take it too personally. it's really fucking difficult to just switch when you've been calling "them" a "him" for years. it's gonna take a while for people to change over and that's IF the person is trying hard to correct themselves. I don't necessarily agree with the their politics but still try to call them what they prefer. the way I see it is, I won't try to purposely offend you and I will call you by the pronoun you want but everything after that we will have to agree to disagree.

@@HirasakaGames there are plenty of things to talk about without bringing up identity. if there's no middle ground at all then you lose the middle. people are willing to play along to not offend others even if they disagree but if you just go around telling people "you HAVE to agree with EVERYTHING I do or your a bigot" you're gonna lose people FAST.

@@HirasakaGames no one "deserves" respect. respect is earned. it IS performative because people don't agree that you can just change your gender. but people will "play along" to not offend others because people are generally nice like that even if they disagree. you'll never get those people to agree that you can just change your gender so "playing along" is the best your getting. either that or outright rejection and no one wants that. you can't force people to believe the way you want them to. do you want people to call you by your preferred pronoun or not? because lecturing people for "playing along" will turn people away.
