Bought more than 5 years ago and still using 60~70 days without charging. My friend has Apple Watch series 8 and we measured and compared the accuracy of both watches on walking, cycling, heart beats etc. they are pretty similar. I can afford easily Apple Watch or another expensive one such as Garmin etc. but I still cannot find reason to buy. 2 years ago my screen popped off as well, sticked it with shoe glue and still using like that. E-ink display is game changer technology, I don’t care 4K watch display if I will charge it everyday. This watch is by far the best for me.

I own the Amazfit Bip for the last one year (and I'm still wearing and using it). Battery life is incredible as I average 20-30 days per full charge. A few scratches (I'm very careless) but nothing to worry about. Nothing broken yet and the GPS and heart tracking are fantastic. A third-party app can greatly improve the number of faces to adopt. Water resistant is great but yet to try swimming with it. Only gripe I have is the ability to lock on to the GPS quickly (even out in the open but then, it's dependent on location). I even bought another for my nephew during Christmas. So will I recommend this? Most definitely.

Sleep track on, message and phone alert on, heart rate once per day and gps once per week.. Battery lasted 60 to 70 days for me and still running great after 3 years of use..

Just purchased this watch last week as my first smart watch! I watched your review as I was curious to see if it is a s good as I feel it is! I wasn't even sure if I really wanted one! But this is amazing value! As you said so comfortable to wear, amazing battery life and notifications so handy! I appreciate the concise & sincere (or maybe mindful) style of the review. I just subscribed because it's nice to watch a review without too many distractions... I find I sometimes get impatient, somewhat bored out even annoyed but only infrequently, when a YT KZbin r nearly shouts, talks loudly or tells their viewers to follow, share, watch more of their content, visit their 2nd channel, etc. 😁 NO need for that at this stage in youtube land. Maybe most ppl just kinda know how to share and/or follow someone's socials. No need to ask... Anymore... Just produce quality content. And ppl will share follow etc. Internet culture today has become familiar to most ppl. It would seem...? Mine is 6 yrs old now. It did opened up but I superglued it and been good since. Wearing it now at work stocking shelves. Light and very readable with various watch faces. GPS too wow. I just now ordered new straps and I think I’ll get a case for it too. Got a screen protector on it. With these new accessories, it’ll last even longer. This my beater watch now!

I've been using it for approx. 6 months. It is OK overall, but there are two big issues: 1) GPS sometimes go completely nuts... and I mean it... sometimes when I run in a straight line it records me zigzagging half a kilometer away. 2) If you keep all the services associated with the smartphone app running for watch notifications etc., they will drain your phone's battery in no time!

Dude, you can just set the notification on the app to only notify when the phone screen is off! This way, while you are talking, there is no vibration. Also, you can set your own vibration length on the app.

I'm writing it in July 2023. Once I bought such a watch and started wearing it just so that I don't have to go to the shade in the summer sun to check what time it is. Yesterday the watch opened by itself. The display fell off, i.e. it opened like a flap and hung on a ribbon at the left edge of the screen, connecting it to the rest of the watch. After looking at it, it turned out that the battery wrapped in the middle of the watch swelled - it looked like an inflated pillow. It must have pushed the display out that way. Perhaps it was caused by leaving the watch in the charger for a long time. The watch beeps when charging is complete. But I thought that since it knows when it's charged, it disconnects the charge. It seems that not, however, and leaving it in the charger causes the watch to "explode"... Or maybe it's another reason, in any case, the battery stopped fitting in the watch.

I agree with you, I've got one 3 months ago and I think I just charged it twice, amazing battery life (better than any expensive smartwatch) that gives you the benefit of wearing it during sleep (because it doesn't need to be charging every night). Last time I've got a low battery notification, it was just starting the day, and it showed 10% of battery life, I made that day and the next day at night (2 days) battery still was on 8%. Also I like a lot the form factor, it's simple, and as light, slim and small as a classic Casio dumb watch, but has colour touchscreen always on (also not usual on expensive smartwatches), communicates with smartphone and has upgradable firmware. I'd like to see a software update that would correct multiple notifications (on Android P wherever I receive a new mail the watch vibrates and shows every unread mail) and in some languages that use special localised characters like áçéó" the watch just replace that character with a "?" that's a bit annoying.

sumit the more light you have the better it will look and more visible. In dark you may need to press the side button to light up display for a few seconds and it's not that beautiful, but it's visible anyways.

I did recently buy this watch. The biggest complaint so fair is no applications for the watch and not being able to control your music. Yes it has a Spotify controller but I don't use Spotify.

The water in a swimming pool has chlorine which ruins the waterproof seal. Same with salt water (ie. the ocean). The waterproofing only applies to fresh water.

I got the watch for 80€ on February. I am very happy. The only problem is that it can't support some Greek letters, like "έ, ύ, ϋ, ΰ, ί, ϊ, ΐ, ό, ά, ή, ώ and ς" and emojis. But that's the only negative part. And I can live with that. I hope the company will fix it because the Amazfit Pace had the same problem and they fix it with a update.

Heart rate monitor is very bad, I'm more accurate when I just guess my hr. That's a pity, because that just clouds the overall impression enormously. For sports activity only partially suitable and rather a slightly better pedometer. I think to give a try to Verge.

DespisedIcon1982 So far so good. It took some trial and error to get a watch face I like. Battery life is around 2 weeks, but I running about every option, so that could be stretched by paring back, but 45 days is optimistic. Overall, for 70 bucks, I’m pleased with it.

I've had mine for a month and it is great apart from the fact that it "bricked" itself a couple of days ago while doing an automatic upgrade. Google "Amazfit Connect APP to retry" and you will see that this appears to be a common problem without any easy solutions.

I bought mine about a month ago and have only charged it once, which is amazing. I wish you could reply to texts notifications are shown for too short of a time and no microphone are the biggest downsides. Its not up to the Pebble level but I liked it better than the Versa. The always on screen is the biggest winner for me.

I think of upgrading to the Bip either miband 2 for reading more content of the notifications and having alarm and timer on the band instead of trying to use the app for everything! The only reason I lean towards the bip is that it looks more like a watch and less like a band.

Hey Dan, I was thinking of buying this watch for sleep analysis and sports tracking. I have a few questions that I didn't find the answer to while watching or reading reviews. In your video where you compare it with the Mi Band 4 you mention it can track different type of sports like football or basketball. Do you know if it can also track snowboarding/skiing? Were you able to connect it to strava and upload activities on your strava profile? For sleep analysis, does it give detailed information on deep sleep versus light sleep, snoring time, etc? Also, does it have that cool light vibration alarm to wake you up? Thanks!

I bought one of these and wore it for a couple of months. I thought it was ok, but I went on holiday overseas and obviously changes timezones, the watch would not accept the time change no matter what I did, I even reset to default and had no change. I got really frustrated. I eventually went to my phone settings and took it out of auto time zone and manually set the time, then the watch took the time then. So even though my iPhone had the correct time displayed on the screen, the watch refused to sync the time. The touch screen is not as good as you're descibing, but it's adiquate for the watch's features. While I was on holiday I went and bought a Series 3 Apple Watch, and the Bip never got used again (I sold it) I previously had a Pebble for three years, the Bip doesn't come close to the Pebble, and the Pebble doesn't come close to the Apple Watch. Price wise, the Bip is excellent value, but it needs a LOT of work, just like the original Pebble did.

Mine does not hold charge for 45 days. I have the same exact watch and the charge lasts a only 7 days. To add, for some reason it's not calculating my heart rate on the main screen. My HR will either be blank or stay at say 75 for 3 days. Only when I enter the "run mode" will it display my HR going up or down. Ideally, I'd like to be able to see my heart rate 24/7 instead of pressing "run mode" every time just to see my HR.

How good is the Bluetooth range? I had a Pebble which was fantastic and would stay connected to my Phone over a great distance. I also tried a cheap option after Pebble that had terrible range (10 feet at best and that was line-of-sight).

I am an athlete and the bip is pretty much accurate on the heart rate. It is holding up quite well over the past few months. More than a bargain and a great deal at 65 dollars or so. Dont let the price fool you.

Strange that it doesn't use the phone's GPS to save power and cost. Is the time display always on and can you change the display time to 12hr intervals? Does it monitor your heart rate continuously or can you schedule to take a reading every hour?
