I came along this channel today, and I am delighted. As a crafter coming from arts and more of a painter, I am very new to 3D printing. I am experienced in 1:1 resin, but initially thought 3D printers substitute everything transparent with the according filament. The resin is much more shiny and translucent, for sure, but knowing printer enthusisasts still uns the 'good old' products is heartwarming. As I just stepped into 3D printing I am keen to explore the possibilities. This channel seems to have a wider vision and connects different techniques and ideas from usually not corresponding hobbies. That's brilliant. Sub is on the way, the 114.001st 🙂

Thank you, the Fallout one was the last one I made for this video and it was a suggested design idea by a friend. I'm really happy how it turned out and I gifted it to them to say thanks.

If you convert the image to an svg and then bring it into fusion, i believe you can just extrude the lines without having to trace it all. Using gimp and / or inkscape. I can't remember if both are necessary, but it's a lot easier.

Im going to do this and make a few pieces for my wedding. I am going to use a freshly cleaned glass bed to get the petg as smooth as possible. Hopefully this enhances the effect!

I wonder how UV cure resin would work? Eliminating the time crunch.
@DIYMachines5 ай бұрын
That's an interesting idea. I imagine as long as the rapid curing didn't generate too much heat and deform the printed parts then this would be much quicker. If I ever find myself in position of UV curing resin I'll try it out.
