Thoroughly disagree. He never takes kuzushi, and thus entirely depends upon Uke just standing there and letting him do the technique. It's very gymnastic and visually impressive, but there's zero aiki.

Sensei, you show mind no mind . When to react to a attack, and distance. Then the off balance, the set up, and execution of the techniques. Plus the foot work and body movements. Most students forget all these components.

In real fight, the attack is random, repeatedly, and brutal. In one second, an attacker can make several.stabs from any direction. It is almost difficult to grab it.

That's for someone who doesnt know how to stab with a knife. It doesnt cut you like you're made of air. If he does that defense is easy: just move back a distance. A real killing thrust has to be direct, and powerful.
