normally id say i hate these "ultra hard no ceiling survival" games, but this is literally the first game ive spent 260 hours suffering and enjoying it at the same time, looking foward to this one.

The first game is really not "ultra hard". Surviving is easy. Achieving higher levels of cultivation takes more effort, but survival is really not a focus of the game.

happy to see that you guys still plan on making the second one. But I have to say couple of things. I'm assuming that the game will play similarly to the first one so all of my suggestions will be based on that, if you guys are doing a 180 and making a different type of game like a 3D open world or something you can stop reading now. First of all the story from the first game was too complicated to get into. I'm not talking about writing I'm talking about the system how you uncover it. It was too much work that wasn't intuitive at all for very little story in return. Secondly since we are returning to a real universe where it's harder to cultivate I would like to see more ways to progress cultivation other then sitting and eating pills. Something like exploring and finding a good opportunity or getting enlightenment from seeing higher cultivators or beasts fight is a staple in a lot of cultivation novels that makes sense to implement. Next thing I would really love to see is more reasons to go actively exploring, since right now the only reasons are to try and uncover the story ( which no one does since it's too complicated and uninteresting mechanic) and to maybe kill some demon beasts. It would also be great to be able to conquer other areas and actually build a branch of the sect there ( actually build another area like your main area ) and be able to manage multiple areas. Now I don't know how big you guys are planning to make the game but a common factor I really like in cultivation novels is being able to ascend to a higher heaven/world when you reach high enough level in cultivation. I know this is usually just a MC who goes on his own and this is a game where you manage a whole sect but I think a good way to implement it would be that you need let's say 3 cultivators of highest level cultivation in this current heaven/world to open a passage to the higher one and only those three go and you start with just them on a new map and your previous world is handled something like you currently handle branch sects. Another great addition would be more depth in alchemy (pills could have grades like low, mid, high... and the grade depends on quality of ingredients and alchemists level) and artifact crafting ( similarly to alchemy ) and ingredients ( should have more variety like age, grade, quality...). Making pills and artifacts have grades similar to cultivators and making them unusable to lower tier cultivators also makes a lot of sense and gives more replayability and makes progression that much more interesting. I could still make a bunch of suggestions but I think no one will actually even read up to here so I will just say for the end good luck with whatever you guys end up wanting to make and I look forward to playing another one of your games.

the only amendment I would add to yours/change is that when the MC goes to a higher realm, he almost always will bring friends and family with him. If not immediately, he will always get around to it eventually. Usually after setting up a safe place to nurture and help them thrive in the new environment in ways that will allow them to at least acclimate to the new world/universe if not catch up with the MC. Also I was reading their notes, they plan to make this more of a story/kind of central focus on the MC going through events/stories and while you will still have the option to build your own sect brick-by-brick if you choose, you can also opt to be an elder at a different sect if your power is sufficient, meaning you can play more adventures/the story instead of having to micromanage your sect if that wasn't your thing.

I also hope they can improve economic system. Why I can not trade my daily supplies for steel or wood? I have a lot of one type material but can not convert it to another type that I need. Wait for more animal/monster, more event, scramble for resources, war... to keep me busy at middle game

Looking forward to this. I loved the first game. Really hope the sequel will add more npc sects/factions for the early and middle game that the player can compete with in territory wars and tournaments throughout the progression of the game, instead of only the very powerful sects that you cant attack until the very late game or endgame.

Since this trailer doesn't actually show anything except a pretty cinematic, I'm hoping they don't stray too far from the original concept. This game has built-in the complexity that Rimworld adds through mods. Just trying to remember all the feng shui stuf is a challenge, and then adding all the various factors that make up the character, and that they can reincarnate, etc. If they transition to an RPG, then all we get is yet another RPG instead of a unique addition to the Dwarf Fortress-Rimworld family tree.

PLEASE take your time on this game! There is no need to rush! I love the first one and only hope the second one BUILD UPON what made the first one great! Keep in mind, that taking things out to add in new things will deter some old players from sticking around! EDIT: An ONLINE interaction mode where you can send cultivators to travel to another players sect and trade, attack, etc. Would be awesome (Of course separated from single player)

How are the views less than the hours i spent playing ACS? The first one was an unperfect masterpiece and I'm sure the next one will be better.I just hope you will make the ACS 2 with a more guided and linear progress for beginners to understand, more in depth information about the basic mechanics in the form of missions or quests. People give up on this game because they find it frustrating and too much time consuming to even get to the point in game where you actually start to enjoy playing it and not read through guides or watch playthroughs just to gather the basic information to actually understand what you are doing. I know this freedom is also what made it so good for most of us who got through the confusion at the beginning, but I really hope you can make a more immersive and informative guideline for the next game so that I can have a chance of persuading my friends to try it out. At first, i thought it's just a copy of Rimworld but it's really not. omg, i was so addicted to this game for about 3 months that i had to go find a Chinese wuxia movie to watch to understand the cultivation thing. i hope the 2nd is better than the first one. some sequels are not as good as the first one like "Shelter 2".

First one barely had any updates after launch and out of nowhere they announce a second one. Rent is due eh?!

Witht he WuDang DLC the game feels complete as it is now. Sure there could be some fixes or adjustments but I'd rather have a new game with major adjustments and complete new content and hopefully a better engine with more basic functions.

It was a complete game, got 2 small dlcs for a low price and a free Spring Festival update. That + regular patchs if need be is perfectly fine for a game that is not a live service. ACS2 was already in works when ACS went out of early access and the panda dlc dropped btw. There were regular talks about it on the official discord. What was really unexpected was the WuDang dlc, even the Spring Festival update was, because more or less everyone thought they would at most patch some bugs, if at all.
