@@jklfiveone Popping in to second that you did a fairly good job speaking. Work on your enunciation a little more and slow down a little bit, is all I'd suggest.

Note that you can also invite He Zudao to your sect if you forget the talisman paper! That also gets around the risk of accidentally forgetting to pick it up.

This worked for me, thank you! I had seen other comments about needing a golden core 3, but did this fine on GC 5, Primordial Spirit, 41k Qi. Made sure to eat spirit stone, qi regen pill (seems maybe not needed?) and spirit crystal - Qi regen was about 75k. I had a decent artifact (6.5k qi, 3.5k regen). My first Tribulation survived, gracias!

Consuming a Qi Regen Pill will give you a significant boost for the first six hours of breakthrough, and can end up significantly increasing your core quality, by the by.

Its pretty useless for shapeshift tribulation. If you cant beat it without qi regen pill then you will definitely die because it lasts way longer than 12 hours. (Qi regen pill lasts 300 seconds, there's 600 seconds in a day). It could help if you choose to fight the tribulation with an artifact though. With high enough artifact battle power the tribulation time will be reduced significantly but you also need artifact power manuals and artifact qi recovery manuals which can get expensive early game and its also really hard to survive any difficult fights with the artifact without a spiritsword talisman. It also does not help at all during golden core breakthrough because you do not regenerate qi during it. There's some outdated guides that were made before we had more information that suggest so but its not true.

@@jklfiveone Gah, I keep forgetting that was proven to be outdated every time I come back to the game (I've been around since the days of the original english mod, but only come back to it about once a year or less), so thanks for the correction on the core quality part. The shapeshift trib using qi healing vs. the GC breakthrough not letting you get qi is probably where that whole misunderstanding originally came from, I bet (I wasn't active in the guide-making or anything, I just played). That said, I disagree that it doesn't help for shapeshift tribulation, because the boost provided can be the difference between failure and success if you're not well prepared. I found that out the hard way that I'd screwed around too much and wasn't able to get my really good yaoguai set up in time for a strong tribulation setup (primarily cultivation level). The added qi from the pill on top of a spirit stone was enough of a buffer to slow down his qi loss sufficiently that he survived without a T6 darkarmor (was only T2) or the scroll of taiyi (but did have a turtle shell), and a couple barrier manuals.

In the shapeshift trib theres 5 clouds for each element so i'm assuming that guy had an elemental weakness to the first or second cloud and that's why they were failing but he could handle the other clouds at a 1X damage multiplier without the pill. Either that or they simply barely didnt have enough max qi to survive it. For other disciples they're usually in a state of "being able to handle it or not" so the qi regen pill probably wont give them a win. A spirit crystal would be a big help though since that buff lasts multiple days.

Just need 15K ATK and DEF and use furious berserk to one shot clouds

If you can get to golden core within X amount of days youll be fine. There are some really good yaos with really high timers

Keep rolling until you get one with good stats and good amount of days until their tribulation
