I have a video suggestion for you. Do one on boat control. I notice that you're one of the few that still use the time honored method of backtrolling, while also using the bowmount for spot lock. It would be informative for many viewers to talk about boat control and the different tools that can be used to keep the boat where you want it. Just a thought.

I had a question about your cut off for eater size. In Manitoba it seems it is around 18 inches or so and at Tobin it is 22 inches for walleye. I understand the bigger fish are better for spawning. Do you just follow the Manitoba guidelines wherever you are? Personally I tend to follow the Tobin Lake guidelines and don't keep anything bigger than 22 inches, but I'm interested in hearing others opinions too Edit - Great videos by the way
@ClaytonSchickOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! I really try to keep nothing bigger than 19" I feel once they hit that 20" mark they have survived the frying pan for a lot of years and will now be an excellent breeding size fish for the future. The thing is you can go a few years in a row with a bad spawn and be missing age class of fish, so it's really hard to say what size you should be keeping or not. I just know that when they get to be 20" that top loin is really thick and they feel like a more mature fish. 16-18" is my preferred size for no matter which lake I go to. That all being said, if I had a 22" that was hooked really bad, I would rather keep that fish and let two nice 18" go :)
