How many times these elephants were beaten to perform these tricks ? They don't paint because they like to paint, or because they are artists, but because they are afraid (to be later beaten by their instructors, if they don't perform).

The video of elephants painting always shows from the side opposite of where the person stands and directs the movement of the elephant. Do they tug their ear, or what? They don't want that part to be seen by the wider audience. All the handlers appear to have sticks with metal spikes on the end. I will believe they are humane when the painting class and the rest of each day in the life of an elephant is video documented from multiple angles. Video documentation should be the minimum standard for every instance where animals are held captive in pursuit of profit.

These elephants are prodded and force to "paint".

Do you know how they treat those animals to make them do those tricks? Nobody knows... Sooo sad!
@bergi859 жыл бұрын
Alain Lafond How can you say it is sad if you don't know how they are treated? I have been to this place a few times, the elephants always look to be well taken care of.... don't be so quick to judge. :)
@TBFfishing9 жыл бұрын
Alain Lafond i doubt they are punished. many studies show animals/people don't learn as well when they are punished. rewards are always the trick.
@AlainLafond9 жыл бұрын
bergi85 The way the are treated is a thing that you don't see. It start before you see them at work. Elephant are starved, tortured and beathen to learn to obey. Look on the net and you'll see. First go to wikipedia and search for elephant traing, or crushing. It's not a very well known thing. Because tourist prefer to see only the first layers. The cute elephant paintings. Like occidental buying phones without wanting to know what's behind that cheap phone.
@bergi859 жыл бұрын
Alain Lafond I understand that that happens, but you said "nobody knows..." So I am telling you, reserve judgement until YOU know all the facts about this place. Have you been there, behind the scene? Have you personally seen the abuse at this place? I am guessing not. That is why I said don't be so quick to judge. :)
@Cballin9 жыл бұрын
you realize by attending this show you are supporting cruelty to elephants, elephants do not paint, they have prodded and forced them into doing these tricks..
@BIGMACMCDONALDLEE9 жыл бұрын
There no real proof to that other than so called experts writing online. I have seen elephant abuse in other elephant camps though but this one seemed pretty humane. Again the camp seemed better than my last camp, I love animals so I would never support such abusive camps.
