That finale was jaw dropping. Having Oz get to the top but losing himself in the process seems kinda basic but they make it so thrilling. And the Bat-Signal at the end 👌👌 Vengeance is coming 🦇🦇😂😂

2:25- The Hangman and The Cat. I like that. I'll need to rewatch The Batman soon and then I'll definitely purchase this show when it gets a physical release. I hope that we get more shows in this universe. And while I don't think The Batman II will deal a LOT with this show's fallout, I'm sure Oz's rise will be acknowledged. And I hope that Sofia appears in the films, even if it's the equivalent of, say, Joker's scene with Riddler in the first film.

This movie made me retroactively like the batman. I wasn't too big a fan originally but seeing more of the world, and seeing more of this character has made me more a fan of reeves direction. I hope the batman 2 goes much further

After this show, Disney literally have 0 excuses with their marvel and Star Wars TV shows (Andor being the sole exception). Those shows cost so much more and don’t have even half the quality of this incredible series. Kudos to the whole penguin team.

Of all the Batman shows that don't feature Batman (and sadly there's a lot) this one has the honor of being one of only two good ones I've ever seen. The other is 'Gotham' which also showed the rise of Penguin, but I'm not going to do a comparison. I'm sure someone's already working on videos for that. But this show was a great way to explore the world of 'The Batman' and help clear out the rest of the old guard of mobsters and gangsters. Making way for the rise of super-criminals. Which makes me think perhaps that Arkham show could have worked out. I mentioned in a previous comment how I wished the head of Arkham we saw was Hugo Strange and that Julian was actually Jonathan Crane. Having them be the ones to mold Sofia from an innocent woman into a monster would fit in well with how 'The Long Halloween' and 'Dark Victory' heralded in the new age of criminals rising to meet Batman. But if anything the series as is does that well enough and I admit it would have bloated things a bit too much here. Again, I've been spoiled by the Arkham games in that regard.

Totally agree with all of your review and analysis of this show and the DC universe as a whole. I’m a little frustrated over having to wait 2 years for the next Batman movie but starting to think DC has found something that works.: Success with a movie about a hero then success with a show about a villian. We’ll have Creature Commandos next month and hopefully that won’t disappoint. The Superman movie should be a huge hit. Perhaps they’ll do a show about one of Superman’s villains?? I know they have a plan in place but a slight adjustment to

I'd probably rank the Penguin 8 out of 10. It had great storytelling and acting however this isn't a type of show I probably watch a second time. It was like the Joker to me. Its very dark without the balance of Batman to help.

Killing of Vic was honestly a dumb choice they could've made it like this- Vic then decides to leave gotham since the war is finished and then decides to go with his girlfriend who would've been waiting for him. This way Vic doesn't come back and you will get Oz back too.

Nah that wouldn't be a satisfying ending at all imo. Would make his whole character arc pointless

@@OurMovieNews Tbh I don't think so like Vic's entire family is destroyed and only one who he knew was his girlfriend. So him realizing that he can't be always a part of the penguin's life and should have his own life too not always just hanging on the tail of Oz would've been better. Plus every bad man doesn't matter who needs a close ally to trust like everyone has that so Oz killing Vic was dumb.
