This was a terrific vlog. For some reason I have always found the layout of the 16th century Westminster complex quite confusing. This vlog did the trick - many thanks Sarah for travelling back in time - and taking us with you. - Elizabeth Cumming.

Yes, yes it was. The costume and the way she spoke, along with the actual maps and illustrations of the time really make it absolutely effective in transporting us back in time. Love the intro!

This is why I am a Royalist...... no other family has shaped the last 1000 years of history like the Royal Family..... and shaped our culture and identity..... and is still practicing to this day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Absolutely love your costume!! I am so glad that I have discovered your channel. I have been obsessed with the history of Great Britain for as long as I can remember!! I love how you present the material. Refreshingly different from the other channels that cover the history of your beautiful country and the place where most of my ancestors came from. I’m working on my family history now and I’m working towards the 16th century! Thanks so much! Anne Boleyn was always my favorite wife of Henry VIII!

oh my goodness.. I have to watch this later after I get off work. I'm Henry's 14th granddaughter through his mistress Lady Mary Berkeley that he had right before he started pursuing Anne Boleyn. Their son, Sir Lord Admiral John Perrot is my 13th grandfather. I've got all the paperwork.. there's about 50 different kings that I'm a direct grandchild of going back to the year 900 thereabouts. It's fascinating stuff. As far as Grandpa Henry I've got paperwork going back straight from my dad's mother through 500 years, right to Henry. I was always fascinated with him, and I couldn't really understand why. And then I found out around 4 years ago that he's my grandpa.. and then it all made sense.

@@AlannahRyane I had left my email for you but I guess someone erased my comment. Sir John was considered a reckless man and he got into some trouble but he was left in charge I believe of Ireland to a certain degree.. his daughter lady Anne Elizabeth Perrot Phillips was chosen by Queen Elizabeth the first as her privy counselor.. this was a nod to the fact that she was Elizabeth's niece.

How did you find all the documentation of your many Royal Ancestors? I’m very curious as I am also looking into my family history and genealogy. Most of my ancestors are from the UK.

@@loralouise3865 my first cousin has a doctorate degree in sociology and she's a school teacher, but she's spent hundreds of not thousands of hours tracing our family tree to both my dad's parents because both of them were of Royal bloodline.. and if you have one hit that is Royal then a ton more come up. King James II is my 15th grandfather, Edward the 4th is my 16th grandfather.. that is Henry the 8th grandfather*. but yes, if you get one hit then you get a massive amount of others.. usually. She's provided me with a lot of supporting documents and proofs with all of them as well. I'm fascinated by it.

The presentation is great, but I am getting a "Godzilla" sort of vibe from hearing your voice and watching your lips. Some might say "Austin Powers"......the sound doesnt match the movement and once you see it, its hard to unsee. The rest of the video is distracting enough that it doesnt make it any less good, that was just more a of personal observation. It is a great video!
