I have no complaints at all. The SW powers that be did what they could regarding Mr. Stevenson's role. Diana Lee Inasanto was simply badass. That battle with Ahsoka...fire. *I'm ready for more.*

kailyn you brought up such an important point. it really did mean a lot to Sabine that Ahsoka said she will always be there for her like anakin was. Lets not forget that while she was still a young kid, her parents were not there for her when she needed them and she ended up having to leave. she was essentially disowned by her family before or just around high school. ended up becoming a bounty hunter with her best friend/"sister" who then betrayed her and left her for dead. the ghost crew specifically kanan and hera ended up becoming her new parents. its why kanan's promise that this family will always stand with you meant so much in trials of the darksaber. but then that family fell apart and those that remained all went their own ways. so she found ahsoka but then she left her too. so here and now she's essentially promising that despite her own mistake in the past she will always there for her. its why she would eventually give up everything once again for someone she loves just as she essentially did for ezra.

You might not have caught the reference in the title to "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" which is book 2 in the Narnia series of 7... So Filoni likely hinting this is the beginning of an epic arc, parallel to the sequel trilogy

Totally agree with your assessment about Baylon. That shot of him almost looked more like teaser footage for a new season than it did footage intended for this episode. Even down to the changes in his cloak and clothing. RIP. Definitely going to give them the benefit of the doubt in this case.

Almost convinced atp that Balan is trying to free the mother, and that she is imprisoned here in this galaxy. Filoni had a hand in the creation of Abeloth and said that if Abeloth were ever in Disney canon hat it'd most likely fit as the character of The Mother

Ezra's new lightsaber color matches his blue eye color in the animation....AHAHAH loved it when Kailyn said "sick bra".....Loved it how they show Baylan's ship from the beginning of the series and shows it again in the finale when Ezra hijacked it to return home.

So loved this finale and the whole series. The next shows will carry this on and gets me excited. I cried seeing Ezra back with Hera and Chopper and seeing Anakin's force ghost. I think Abeloth is calling Baylon as she needs a vessel to return. Shin may eventually end up with Ashoka and Sabine. ❤

Happy Birthday! Yeah, y'all sure are dedicated! That speaks volumes to your character of wanting to put out content for us and your fandom of Star Wars. Thank you! This episode was amazing. Got some questions answered and of course more unanswered. Seeing Morgan's transformation was epic! The Night Troopers were a nice addition. Having Ezra make a light saber like Kanan's with Huyang was indeed emotional. Sabine now one with the force was absolutely right for her arc. The Mortis Gods statues with Balan standing on the arm of the Father, brought tears. RIP Ray Stevenson. What a performance. (Calling it, Mr. Stevenson will be nominated for an Emmy). Looking forward to season 2. Thanks to you both for sharing your thoughts and theories throughout this season. It was definitely a ride. May the force be with you both.

if you notice during the fight with the night troopers on top of the temple sabine wasn't force pushing anyone. she was using her lightsaber and guanlets to deflect shots like crazy but no pushes. and this is after having pulled a lightsaber and pushed ezra onto the ship. so i dont think it will be a natural goto for her to just push and pull people/things. at the end of the day she is as she has always been she just has a bit more now that she can rely on. this was illustrated best both when they first storm the temple and Ahsoka has her swap to blasters. and her final attack form that we have seen her take a few times now the blaster/lightsaber combo. it shows she is truly of a person of two worlds but is working to use them seemlessly as a united whole.

Very much doubt they edited out any of Ray's work, given how excited he was at Celebrations in London and the build-up they gave him alongside Lars, am sure this was always intended as a cliff hanger setting up a whole new arc

I think it's definitely the mother (Ableoth) calling to him now. In legends, she presented herself to others in a deceptive, benevolent way that called to their desires. She has her hooks into Baylan. The father's hand is pointing to that light in the distance. Baylan is about to have his hands full. I really hope they find a way to resolve this arc with Ray Stevenson's passing.

I agree. Did you notice the ravine split between the Daughter and the Father? Looked wide enough for there to have been another carving and considering the Mortis Gods are dead it wouldn't be them calling to Baylan...

Happy birthday! The 'mountain' Baylan was looking at in the distance looked symmetrical to me, with possibly stepped sides. Can't help but wonder if there is a guarded Kwa Infinity Gate there. Guarded by a force that even Thrawn and the Nightsisters were afraid to disturb. "What's the cargo?" When they said 'Thrawn woke the nightsisters' what were they sleeping in, and were there more. Perhaps the cargo is nightsister hybernation pods. "Why are they suspicious of this?" That was Baylan's ship, the one he and shin used to attack the previous cruiser in ep1.

I am pretty sure there was a lot more involved with Baylon's story but they cut it all out and just gave him that one final scene to sum it all up in the best way possible and give him a proper send off. Given Ray's sad and untimely death, I feel like this leaves it in a place where they could end his story and not have to leave a bunch unsaid. If anything, he may have left a message for Shin to follow in his footsteps in the next season (which I hope there is one before the movie). RIP Ray. You were a treasure to this series.

Respectfully disagree with Baylan scenes being cut. The show's title is Ahsoka...it was her time to bloom. Boy did she ever. Rosario killed it. If Baylan is truly integral for future movie or season 2 they will recast. With respect to Ray and his family, they way you honor his work is to continue it. There's been 1000 batman actors. They can find another skilled actor

while i think its certainly possible they cut out some stuff at the end regarding baylan, i also feel that given the topic they are approaching there is just NO way that it could be approached upon without a full season to explore. especially if what the speculation that has been going around ends up being true. than this was setting things up for the next chapter. it feels to me like the twilight of the apprentice. there is a big battle then ahsoka slams the door on ezra and we have no idea what happens next. que the montage over music, where ezra and kanan go back home give the news that ahsoka dead, we see vadar limping out of the temple, morai flying to a scene of ahsoka going further into the temple, and then finally ending with ezra opening the sith holocron. this is the same feeling i get watching this finale the just have that same feeling. more importantly we knew going into this that there were two stated goals that needed to be accomplished. goal 1 save Ezra. completed. goal 2: try to prevent Thrawn's return. attempted but ultimately Failed. we tackled the goals for the season that we set out to do. unfortunately we picked up a couple of sidequests along the way specifically What is baylan up to and now what will shin do. ultimately until the two primary goals were completed those were just side quests. now that those main quests are completed, our side quests are going to get upgraded for the next season, (especially with the inclusion of the freaking mortis gods!) but i can't imagine that another 5 or even 10 minutes going into shin and baylan or just baylan could do the coming subject matter any justice. adn given that baylan is alone i dont know how they could have added anything else to expound on it any more. that said this may be a clear dividing line between those how have watched animation and those who havent'. because to those of us who have we know the meaning of those statues he's on. and know that what is coming is huge. but if you haven't those statues are just scenary. so perhaps there may have been a bit more to help clue in casual viewers

The first episode of Star Wars: Visions, there is a guy named Ronin (his real name is Brian Tee). He is actually a wandering warrior, an old Sith (he had parted ways with Sith) known as Ronin, and he is a Force user that services neither a lord nor Jedi Clan.

Ahsoka is on the planet, Baylan is, Anakin can be anytime as a Force Ghost. Since this is the Anakin who found balance, he would be the Father. Ahsoka already is the Daughter, because she was revived by her life essence. So Baylan would have to be the Son. His ambiguous ways make him lean towards the Dark Side. And, yes, Ray Stevenson has passed away, so what would make sense is to use some leftover footage and choose a new actor - one that he would be after transforming to the Son. But that all is just a theory. ^^

some believe that it isn't so much the mortis gods that are being brought up but rather Aboleth aka the bringer of chaos aka the beloved queen of stars aka the mother. she is apparently an extremely powerful evil entity that the mortis gods locked up and she apparently calls out to strong force users drawing them to her and then like draining them or somethign like that. its really deep legends lore of which i am not familiar with. but people have been talking about it and it seems potentially legit. but who really knows!

This show would have worked a lot better if Filoni had whittled it down to Ahsoka coming to terms with her past - and by extension Anakin. And have that just be it. In the end.. the show doesnt really work except as a set-up season for whatever comes next. Next to nothing got resolved.. except - somewhat - the whole Anakin thing. Aside from that it was basically just: reunion, reunion, vague hints, mystical speeches, reunion, more vague hints, and a cliff hanger. It does not work as a stand-alone project without a SIGNIFICANT amount of upcoming material.. and im talking waaaay more than whatever movie-project Filoni is rumored to be cooking up.
