Carbon felt for welding put it under the stove will last forever, prevent fires from sparks too and underneath if you place the stove on the ground cut it to the size you want, once you’re done fold it and put it away. You can also perforate it with simple wire like old coat hanger to make it stand up and make it into a windshield, on windy conditions it’ll save you fuel, Amazon sells it or hardware store. Great video thanks for sharing. I might be wrong but I believe Duraflame fire starters are for fireplaces, I wouldn’t use them for cooking because of chemicals, I use fat wood, completely natural.

I have a similar stove. It takes twigs to make a fire quickly. So many things that are great if you look for minimal living.

Those stoves are nice .. But I have an issue with the black sut getting on everything after I used it .. My hands were black by the time I got it apart to clean .. I still had it in places, (don't know how) .. after it was back in the case .. Lol 😂

Yeah, I don’t like the soot either. This will only get used if I have to conserve power. I haven’t used it since we made this video. BUT nice to know it’s there if I need it.

I actually bought an even smaller version of that. It’s just the right size for my single person mess kit pans, or a ribeye steak! I have used little sticks and took some charcoal along in case I needed longer burn. I also used a cheap cookie sheet to go underneath mine.

I wouldn’t, those are for fireplaces and contain chemicals, I use fat wood which is completely natural.
