Hi there, it's very important to always know where you are when prospecting. First of all you don't want to get caught by the lease holder (some of them aren't friendly), second of all you want to avoid high fines from the mines department. The easiest way for me is using my 'Trilobite' App on the phone. Not only does it show me the mining tenement boundaries but also the geology, aero magnetics and so on. Happy hunting ⛏

@@pkgoldopalhunting it's a paid app. All states and territories are separate with their own yearly fee. So what I mean is, if you want trilobite WA you pay a yearly fee....nsw another fee...so on and so on. I personally use qld and nsw .

I was detecting an old community center that at one time was a school. It had been beat to death. There was a spot where the ground was loaded with nails, an old structure long gone. No one would hunt that area because of the nails. I got my 1st 1800s coin from that spot and 3 other early 1900 coins using a minelab CTX3030

I use the GPX4500 here in the states. I noticed the hot rocks you were finding were little, short signals just like here. The non-ferrous targets give a longer signal, but it is still a guessing game. Good luck.

Hey Krissy First day with the new GPX 6000 at Tibooburra, I found 3 nuggets and a speccie Your nuggets are massive, my 3 came in at 0.21g in total! I'm still learning with it, just using the 11" coil till I get more knowledge under the belt. Great machines

Those VLF detectors are good in mild soil but pretty useless in mineralised gold country. This is where PI detectors work a lot better.

These boot are from 'Mongrel' and the best ones I've ever had. This pair is way over a year old, using them for scraping rocks and dirt almost every day. The 7000 wears purple and the 6000 is dressed in pink now 👍🏻
