Such beautiful tutorial of this great song. Thank you to Mr. Lynch for his great musical talent and for his patience in teaching novices like me. I just found out a couple of days ago that Mr. Lynch had passed away in 2018. I was so sad to hear that, as I thought I had just found my uke teacher. I will, however, continue to follow the tutorials he had created. Such a wonderful teacher and thank you to his family for leaving his tutorials posted on KZbin. I'm grateful to you.

Hi Mike, I'm 73 and started the passion 2 years ago, I have to teach myself and keep getting stacks of advise from people who only want to show me how good they are. Since I found you, my lessons have become easier to understand THANK YOU. I have downloaded a lot of your vids and this really helps, I now understand and can fumble through 12 bar blues as you suggested I put words to it, referring to crocodiles in my favorite fishing spot, YOU really have made a difference to my Ukulele passion.I'm even making a new tenor ---- So thank you Mike,

here's the words for 3 verse would love to hear what you could do with it. Fish’n at Mission 2, I'm sure people will change the 'rack' word -- i wrote that way. Sitt’n at a bar in Mission, Just sitt’n at a bar and wish’n There’s croc’s in the Hull --- --- no-one wants to cull We’re wish’n all those crocs would rack off Yeh I’m wish’n all those crocs would rack off Sitt’n in this bar in Mission, talk’n of go’n fish’n The Barra are a bite’n, the Jacks are a fight’n I’m sitt’n here pissed n’ wish’n! Wish’n all the crocs would rack off Crocs fish the inn tide Hide’n on the mud slide Looks like a tree trunk I’m get’n blind drunk N’ wish’n all the crocs would rack off wish’n all those crocs would rack off Yeh we’re wish’n all those crocs would rack off

That is the most beautiful rendition of "Amazing Grace" that I have ever heard. I knew it was supposed to be upbeat and cheerful, not a funeral dirge. Thank you so much for sharing. I can't wait to learn how to play it and show my family how wonderful Amazing Grace really is.

Tomorrow I'm going to a music store to purchase a ukulele and want to learn this song. The Ukulele he is playing has a beautiful fret. Probably very expensive. At the same time, the very first comment I read mentions his passing. Eternal Rest Grant Unto Mike, O Lord, let the perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all soul of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Mike, I can't tell you enough how nice it was to finally play with someone and learn a strum pattern! I just started in August and I really appreciate you. From the many instructors on KZbin, you are the best. You explain it and talk to us. You are very encouraging and helpful. Wish I hadn't spent so much on other sites. I'd buy your stuff in an instant. Maybe the next pay day, next month, I'll have some spare dollars to invest.

I can say this at the beginning nothing makes sense but as you are learning everything is falling in place and learning becomes easier. so finally after 4 weeks with constantly playing and learning with few breaks I did write it down so playing it is easier. my problem was strumming but I'm getting it. Thank you for your patience in teaching.

Mike; I wrote that last comment without having listened to the whole lesson. Well, your detailed (and, may I say, extremely simple) strumming instruction is exactly what I needed -- like I mentioned to you, I'm kinda stuck in the thumb strumming you were doing at the beginning. The careful and slow instruction with the index finger is what I needed. Although I'm too advanced for the chord instruction, that's fine because the strumming instruction is GREAT!
