My name is Mike; I’m 56; I just started playing the ukulele, and read that this gentle soul has left us. May I spend what years I have left learning and applying the valuable lessons this wise man teaches. This is a truly beautiful song, and his arpeggio style brought tears to my eyes. Definitely someone I would have loved to have known in person. Thank you to whomever it is that has kept his channel here for us to learn from. Mike, may you joyously strum throughout eternity. 🙏🏼

Wow - I just impulse ordered a ukulele mere months after impulse buying a banjo. I had a moment of regret then saw this - he makes it seem so doable - sorry to hear he's no longer among the living - but much of a soul is information in the minds of others - so he grew a bit after life when those of us late to the party decided to subscribe.

Same here. I just started learning the uku, and I’ve been using this channel the most. I hope they leave this channel up for a remembrance of Mike. He’s a very good teacher, and I have found if I attempt tp play along with him, and keep doing it over and over, I actually see improvement.

Leo Bullock ah noooo!! :’( I’ve only just found him - he’s such a lovely teacher! I’m sure you’re right - he’ll be playing his uke or guitar rather than a harp. May his memory, music & lessons live on in the lives of many folks still to come.

When I 1st started playing, Mike Lynch taught me to play “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” and “Till There Was You” (or should I say I learned by watching his videos? It feels like he is in the room with me when watching. ). Such a great, totally non-intimidating teaching style and packed with so much info. Thanks to his family for keeping these great lessons online.
