Yes, playing in the key of E is a lot easier with different tuning - I have used the "Canadian' tuning (D-tuning) to do it. The D-tuning also helps to make the ukulele just sound a little brighter. 😊

The most common way of pronouncing 'ukulele' WHEN A PERSON IS SPEAKING ENGLISH is the way he pronounces it. Your preferred pronunciation of 'ukulele' is the right way to pronounce it WHEN A PERSON IS SPEAKING HAWAIIAN but only an ALTERNATIVE way of pronouncing it WHEN A PERSON IS SPEAKING ENGLISH.
