I don't know why, but a good taiko performance always makes me emotional and this one was no different, bringing tears to my eyes. A really wonderful performance indeed.

I lived in a rural fishing village in Japan for 4 years. I now live in the big city of Tokyo. I can honestly say that I truly, madly miss the rural areas....and the sounds of the taiko drums always remind me of the colourful festivals full of life, especially if accompanied by the " fue " ( flute ). This video made me tear up a bit simply bc the 4 years was such a happy time. The power of taiko! The experience of seeing a live taiko performance is unforgettable.

Just found this today by accident, I love Taiko drumming and was looking to see if any new vids were up and found yours. You have so many videos concerning the culture, flora, fauna of Japan! You have a treasure chest of the essence of Japan! Wow those kids are great, so impressed enjoyed this so much. Thanks!

Absolutely outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance and wished it was longer. I cheered and clapped out loud at the end. Thank-you for posting this!!

Awesome performance! I would pay to see this. I love to watch Taiko performance, but I have never seen it done by such young drummers with great spirit and precision. Thanks to the kids and their school! (and btw, nice camera work)

Oh yes they are! It's amazing. They start from nursery school.....you should see little kids in nursery kids clean up after themselves after lunch. It is ingrained in the school system. It's pretty amazing.

@blackhat200514 жыл бұрын
That was truly amazing. I'm amazed how well they where synchronized. Do you know how long they practiced before they performed?
@101swoop10112 жыл бұрын
Wow. Even when I marched in a traditional drumline, I still couldn't have done what they are doing. I played bass drum, so I did have to use my arms a lot, and not just my fingers and wrists, but not nearly as much as they do. Goodness...the strength and stamina those kids have to be able to do that performance is amazing :D

wonderful! That shows dedication, talent and disicpline! I don't believe I would ever see something like that at my school...for anything. Even just because it's so structured.. O is that girl without the red pants supposed to not have them? it kinda seems strange.
