The first one, the Nomos, is obviously fake, not only because its price. I'm pretty sure Nomos don't produce quartz watches, at least for now :)

im looking at that merkur. i think its a homage to a Japanese watch. i currently have the merkur salmon dial jumping hours and top hill series manual wind salmon dial

I've got a couple of Ali watches. Fantastic quality, one of which is superior quality to the watch it's homaging (Seiko Monster) in every way but one - originality. Still love it though. The other Ali watch I have is not a one for one homage/clone but falls somewhere between a King Seiko and a Grand Seiko. Ironically it has a Seiko VH31 mechaquartz movement. Very nice, dressy piece.

I think some may be quite good watches but others not so much . I got two that were way more than $30. but really just junk and several others that are encouraging . I wouldn't be surprised at this point if they perform as good as a historically above average watch . I would say lots of research first , use your instinct and that it is still an inherent gamble .It is interesting just to see what they're up to over there and I think that ultimately there is a lot of serious talent working behind their microbrand scene .

I stick to the NH35 type movements.Baltany has a Dirty dozen homage and a couple that might interest you. . That Thorn is a well reviewed company here on you tube. I've bought a Berny type minimalistic watch . I've received everything I've ordered. The Chinese Watch industry is a 17 billion dollar a year industry now.

I bought a lot of watches and straps on Ali. . . Quality-wise most of the stuff was great. Sometimes too great. That made me think I should be a better patriot and give the money better to other countries like Germany, USA or Japan and stopped buying there. 🕐⚙️🍸 P.S.: Is it on purpose that I can’t comment on other people‘s comments, Norman?
