OMG!!!! The Derma-E DMAE serum and moisturizer join my Tretinoin as “can NOT live without” products! I’m 62 and my skin looks as good as it ever has in the last 20 years! Amazing! Truly!

According to Paula Choice research team, "It’s a controversial ingredient for skin because research has shown conflicting results. It seems to offer an initial benefit that improves skin firmness, but these results are short-lived and eventually give way to destruction of the substances in skin that help keep it firm. DMAE may also have skin-calming effects. Interestingly, there is a formulation challenge when including DMAE in skin care products. To maintain the efficacy and stability of DMAE, the product’s pH level must be at least 10. A pH of 10 is highly alkaline, which isn’t good news for skin."

Bravo 👏 👏 you’ve nailed DMAE on the head, I’ve looked at it for a while and understand that it’s not new, and certainly controversial with Cosmetic Chemists who’ve completed trials.

I been using DMAE for years it is amazing! I’m a 47 yo registered nurse so I’m always researching products and a few years I came across this. If you use it topically you see results immediately like tightness and lift. I bought it in a pure powder form mix it with alkaline water and spray it morning and evening. If taking orally over time it’s good for your muscles all over. You can’t go to the gym and workout your face so it will do it for you also help with mental focus. I can go on and on but this is my short review 😊

I've used DMAE for years, but not for skincare, but in pre-workouts before gym. Its actually a very good nootropic, that improves focus & brain cognition. 750mg is the sweet spot when ingested. So i'm amazed its now a skincare wonder. 😯

Very good informative video but like many others commenting I immediately wondered why DMAE is being “ introduced “ as a new breakthrough when it has been around and part of skincare for a long time. I’m curious if perhaps some newer tests have proven it’s efficacy and disproven some of the concerns about negative consequences with its use. It can take time to sort through research as well as testing an ingredient. I’m curious and hope to learn more. I do hope it’s been proven safe and effective and we can safely njoy adding it to our arsenal of anti aging products. I appreciate that you have shared quite a bit of information and that you took the time to try it before recommending. I like your videos and messages of kindness. ✌🏼

Sounds interesting - May have to give it a try 😀 Edited to add: apparently Derma e has two version of the DMAE serum, in your link it says that it has copper peptides, but when I goggled it to find it in EU (to avoid taxes/customs) it is a version without copper peptides. Also Incidecoder lists two versions. The version that I can find (in Denmark) is called “firming serum”, and the version on their US website is called Ultra Lift

That's how the skincare industry works - companies and influencers have to make a "new" trendy ingredient seem like a must have so that you buy another product and both the company and influencer profit. If you don't want to be confused and whipped up in the trends, you can simply wait years and see if an ingredient joins the well studied core ingredients recommended by most dermatologists. Those core ingredients are #1 Retinoids and sunscreen filters. And then for skin barrier health: Niacinamide, panthenol, and ceramides. For exfoliating (though not really necessary if you use a retinoid: acids.

@wwondertwin
@wwondertwin Жыл бұрын
You can use copper peptides and antioxidants on alternating nights so you get the benefits of both without conflicts! I do a 3-1-3 night routine, in which I have 3 retinol nights, 1 AHA/BHA exfoliating night and 3 retinol incompatible nights, though the exact order of the days depends on how my skin looks and feels like.

Can you use copper peptides with tretinoin?
@Lehanorah1918
@Lehanorah1918 Жыл бұрын
Really depends on your skin,but generally,no. Copper peptide is a 'healer',so it tries to counteract (heal) the 'regeneration' that the tret/retinols are supposed to do,so they clash. Even if you don't get any bad reaction,CP does reduce the efficacy of retinols. Fine to use both,but at different times 💕

Yes you can, they do npt cancel each other out, but make sure your skin can take it as the combo can be strong so take it slowly

Not sure why you are so bothered by this.. feel free to add your experiences with the ingredient or favourite products but just to criticise isn't adding a single bit of value
