Sharing with you how to use peptides int your skincare routine for the maximum anti-ageing skincare benefit. Getting the most from your Peptide Serum
Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin where today I want to share with you how to use peptides in your skincare routine. The hints tips and skin care hacks you need to know in order to get the most from your peptide serum. How to layer peptides in your skincare routine.
Peptides are a wonderful addition to your skincare routine, they can help hydrate the skin, boost collagen production and even out the skin tone. However peptides can be a little difficult to layer with other active ingredients such as exfoliating acid and vitamin c. There are some hints tricks and skincare hacks which will help you to effectively layer peptide serums into your skincare routine in order to get the maximum anti-ageing benefit and thats what I want to share with you today.
The questions this video will hope to answer are:
* how to layer peptides
* how to store peptide serums
* how often should I use peptides
* the best peptide serums
I would love to know what your experience with peptides has been so please leave me a comment below and include any of your personal peptide before and after experiences.
If you enjoyed this video and would like to see more like it in the series, please give it a thumbs up and a like to let me know.

The copper peptide is a signal peptide same as the Matrixyl 3000 they both boost collagen, not hydration. The patent for Matrixyl 3000 is much cheaper than the Copper peptide but it’s just as effective. Feel free to use the one that best suits your budget. The claim of hydration isn’t correct. 😏

I started using peptides about 2 months ago and when I did, I went full throttle and went with NIOD's CAIS. My God, that serum has been nothing but amazing. From the first use, my skin was instantly plump and hydrated. Over time since having used it, my dark spots and acne have dramatically decreased and I find any new pimple to be less reactive and goes away faster (my skin type is oily and acne-prone). As for routine, I use it everyday in the absence of direct acids and alternate it with my retnoid. It's been a game changer and using along side NIOD''s MG is just a chef's kiss. Thank you for the informative video btw.

Hey Rob, thanks so much for this video! I have started using peptides since learning about them from you about an year ago or so 🤗 I’m usually using the NIOD Superoxide Dismutase Mist after cleansing and then I mix the SubQ skin and NIOD CAIS. I also like to use Vit. C serum (I have the CE Ferulic) from Skinceuticals which I really like but I’m not sure on how to mix Vit. C and peptides together. Or for that matter, retinol and peptides, can they be mixed? I would love your advice with this as I’d like to use peptides more often then I do at the moment. Love you & your channel so much 🤗🥰❤️

Oh peptides, the ingredient I know I should use but am still confused on how to use properly even after watching a dozen videos about them. This video lays it out so simply that even an idiot like me can understand it. 😄 Instead of using it two times a day, I've been using it two times a week, nights only, because I never wanted to mix it with something that would diminish its effects. This video and the other one you references are going in a special playlist, so I can rewatch them whenever I need a peptide kick in the butt.

Hi Rob, would I use your super serum before or after the good molecules peptide serum ?
@prosniper58
@prosniper58 5 ай бұрын
Yes, buffering may neutralise the pH of acidic products, allowing you to use peptides alongside those products. HOWEVER, by neutralising the pH, you may be interfering with the performance of product that are formulated at a lower pH. For example, ascorbic acid needs a low pH to penetrate the skin, by applying a buffer over top your vitamin C, you're likely just stopping your vitamin C from doing anything significant. Also, AHAs and BHAs will not exfoliant your skin very much at a neutral pH. You're far better off just not using peptides and these lower pH products at the same time. I always use peptides in the morning with products that are known not to interfere with them and use all my more acid products at night.

Would you use a buffering serum before you apply on NIOD's FECC? I thought for eye serums to have maximum effect I should have been applying them immediately after showering, but your video showed me I am probably not letting my skin dry enough after showering before applying the FECC. I had good results for the first month when I was using it, and then ... it sort of reversed, I think because of my changed application. (edit: Developed more wrinkles and fine lines in undereye, despite the area looking lighter). My current routine is just the FECC + a layer of CosRX All-in-one Snail cream for my undereye.

Yessss! I was just thinking about possible problems with my peptides. I’ve been using Matrixyl and Argiriline, but I just realized how many of my other products contain antioxidants. I vaguely remembered a possible conflict there, but when I looked it up it sounded like it was really only an issue with copper peptides and “strong antioxidants.” Do you think that’s right? The last thing I want to do is denature my peptides 😱 Especially if I graduate to copper peptides, since they’re more expensive.
@katharina456

Yes, I was wondering the same with the copper peptides! I use CAIS in the PM only because of the antioxidant-containing products in the AM. And still I wonder if I’m just making the expensive CAIS useless 🤷🏼‍♀️ („Overthinking“ is my middle name…)

Antioxidants don't affect peptides - if anything they will be protective preventing the peptides oxidizing 👍😃

Can one use copper peptide (cleansing brand) with ordinary matrixyl and ordinary niacinamide with zinc serum together AM and PM morning and evening after cleansing and toning (pevonia micro retinal). Then finish with pevonia micro retinal moisturiser AM, and Hyaluronic acid gel cream (Neutrogena) PM. Any order to put the peptides on? Need wet or dry skin? What can be placed around eyes and eye lids? Appreciate the information. Thank you

Is there any Ordinary product that can balance the PH of the skin after Vit C so I can use the peptides? I stopped buying peptides cuz I don't know how to incorporate it in my skincare to give preference to vitamin C but if there is an Ordinary product to hack that, that would be nice. This hack you suggested I cannot find in Canada.

Or just skip Ascorbic Acid in the Peptides routine. I prefer to use my Peptides at night and VitaminC during the day because UV. I think I get maximum benefit from Peptides at night because your skin is rejuvenated while you sleep as opposed to daytime sweat/pollutants etc.

@@YamileYemoonyah Thank you for trying to help. I did hear that. I'm a newbie and in a process of learning, and can't find the ph level of one of the example products I was looking at on my shelf. I looked at my Beauty of Joseon glow serum with propolis and niacinamide. I can't see ph level on the bottle or in any ingredient descriptions (I looked at two different sites). Can anyone help with how I find this? From a newbie perspective, it's not always as easy to find these things as it might be for you skintellectuals who know everything already and I did try to look for it without any luck, hence why, for me, it would still be helpful with a longer list of examples and more of a deep dive to help find this information, as from what I can see (unless I am very stupid and blind, which may be the case) it's not always available. Again, just trying to learn here and I didn't quite get a full understanding of this and it sounded like a very good tip.
