It’s a weird thing. In many decades the 2010 Olympic will just be another set of games in a long line of them, but I was only around 6 when these games were happening and even though I don’t think about it often the 2010 olympics logo is burned into my memory from those few months when it was everywhere around me (I’m Canadian), and even if I didn’t think it at the time I’m really proud of my uncle (he was one of the torch runners in the pre-game relays). Even if I can barely remember specifics, it must have been wonderful watching them on TV as a kid and seeing all those people working hard from all across the world. It can seem like there’s a lot of crap in the world sometimes, so it’s nice to think of what these games stand. Thumbs up for the olympics and the world, it’s a shame Tokyo had to be postponed, I’ll be happy if it starts soon :)

I always felt bad for the people in the white who danced in the background as the countries came out... but this was an absolutely beautiful opening ceremony... one of my favorites.

The paris olympic is the worst thing I have ever seen. Nothing highlights france tradition. It was mostly trangender, beyonce wearing thongs, and more blk people.

What happened on the 4th torch

It failed to rise due to mechanical failure. It was rectified at the closing ceremony They even built it the initial failure as running gag at the final lighting.
