Not only do I love the Wallace Collection in Manchester square, but I have great respect for Richard Wallace. He lived in Paris at the beautiful chateau de Bagatelle, and was very generous to Apolonie Sabatier, an ageing courtisane to whom he gave his word to set her up for her old age, which he did when he inherited from his uncle. Of course also, I thank him for all the beautiful Wallace fountains in Paris. My husband was from Chelsea an area that i am familiar with as I lived in South Kensington for many years when I first came to UK.

Thanks so much! I think it really depends on whether you like a big city. Although we live in the UK, we hardly go to London as we prefer the countryside but London is simply fantastic in winter when country houses are closed to get prepared for spring.

It was such a revelation for me. I am a Londoner but I haven't visited quite a few places from your list. Thank you very much for being always unique, and taking us to a beautiful and unusual places on a journey with you. Karin
