And drop an anvilled/sharp pointed weight on It with intent to crush and and see how manny pound force it can resist. All we know is it can hold 15kg. Might not be adequate strength testing.

Based on the information provided in the search results, it is possible that the homemade foam blocks described could potentially emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Here's why: 1. Gypsum board, which is a major component of these blocks, is not considered inherently non-emitting[2]. While it typically has low emissions, it can still release some VOCs. 2. The foam generation process uses alpha-olefin sulfonate, which is a chemical compound. Although not specifically mentioned as a VOC source, chemical additives can sometimes contribute to emissions[3]. 3. The cement used in the mixture may also contribute to VOC emissions, especially when freshly mixed[4]. 4. The search results indicate that various building materials, including gypsum board, can emit VOCs[1][5]. The emission rates can vary depending on the specific composition and manufacturing process. 5. The blocks contain a mixture of materials (gypsum, cement, foam) which could potentially interact and create new compounds or emissions[4]. However, it's important to note that: 1. The actual VOC emissions would likely be low, especially after the initial curing period. 2. Without specific testing, it's impossible to determine the exact level of VOC emissions from these homemade blocks. 3. Many commercial building materials have been optimized to reduce VOC emissions, and some are certified as low-emitting[2]. To accurately assess the VOC emissions from these homemade foam blocks, professional testing would be required. If VOC emissions are a concern, it would be advisable to: 1. Allow the blocks to fully cure and off-gas in a well-ventilated area before use. 2. Consider using low-VOC or zero-VOC additives in the manufacturing process. 3. If possible, have the blocks tested for emissions before using them in enclosed living spaces. Remember, while VOC emissions are a consideration, they are just one factor in overall indoor air quality and material safety. Hmmm … the Olefin is just a surfactant that is added to gypcrete. The gypcrete isn’t a structural material as far as I know. I would be very interested in scientific tests of this material regarding its use as a structural material and its weather resistance, particularly concerning water. The strength test shown proved nothing. This material will be very brittle and I doubt it will have much tensile strength. I stand to be corrected, but I don’t think I’d build a house with it.

@@BbAmazingSkills thanks, but that doesn’t change my observation. Remember this is just my opinion and I stand to be corrected. Regardless, ust do some very standard engineering tests. For example, adapt the tests for measuring the compressive strength of concrete block. For anything spanning an opening you need something like a centre point load test. For moisture you need a moisture penetration test of some kind. I certainly can see the utility of using gypsum block for non-load bearing interior walls but I remain skeptical about anything subject to moisture for an extended period or that is used as an external or structural component.

But I never mix in the foam with the other stuff (milk/water flour) I mix that stuff first, then gently slow mix the fluffy egg white. I do this to keep fluffyness. So is it any reason behind mixing all att once? Quicker I guess but other then that? I'm a total n00b.
