Tomi Joutsen is such an underrated singer, he can scream like a demon and at the same time he could sing you the phonebook as a lullaby, best part is that he sounds almost excactly same live.

Yeah. Amorphis with Tomi is a fantastic band. They were good before Tomi, but once Tomi joined, they reached a new level.

Oh shit yeah, Amorphis! They're one of the pioneers of melodic death metal since the early 90's, but they haven't slowed down a bit - really consistent flow of great albums and great songs. Last two albums, 'Under The Red Cloud' and 'Queen of Time' are simply amazing! You might enjoy The Bee (lyric video) \,,/

@@JSpradley123 Although I like Amorphis, it feels like after couple songs I've heard em all (unless you go to the old less melodic stuff). Usually I listen couple songs from them at festivals and then retreat near to the beer tent.

@@makere yeah they did have a more repetitive period a few albums back and a few "meh" songs with Pasi. I've seen them live several times, was always at smaller venues though, haven't managed to make any festivals, and have loved them every time.

Amorphis has been around since early 90'ies and is one of the first finnish death metal bands. On the other hand they are also versatile going to melodeath/folkmetal and songs even more mainstream. Many of their lyrics are from finnish folklore like Kalevala and Kanteletar and other finnish lores. I hope you could react more Amorphis songs like The Bee official lyric video, Amongst Stars official video, Silver Bride official video and also Message in Amber and Daughter of Hate would be a good choice. 🤘🏼🇫🇮

Amorphis is an amazing band yet I feel they are often forgotten in metal conversations for whatever reason. They have an amazing catalog of songs that are worth a listen such as Silver Bride, The Sky is Mine, House of Sleep, The Bee, Amongst Stars, Silent Waters, Alone, Goddess of the Sad Man, Mermaid, You I Need and Narrowpath (just to name a few). Great reaction (as always) but I especially loved your face right after they kicked it up a notch!

Yay for Amorphis! Thank you for your reaction! May I suggest The Bee, Bad Blood or Daughter of Hate, which has an amazing jazz vibe. Amorphis is an amazing and skilled band and they do not have any bad songs even if one does not like them all. Their themes come from the Finnish epic Kalevala.

Although I have been a metal head for quite some time and Amorphis is not a new band either, I discovered them rather recently. I know that their musical style has changed quite bit during their long career but I gotta admit I really like especially their later works such Under the Red Cloud and Queen of Time. Such incredible music and such incredible singer singing into such an incredible hair dryer.

The Amorphis is absolutely amazing live. Tomi Joutsen's got my favourite growls. The band was legendary already before this vocalist joined though. Their album 'Tales from the Thousand Lakes' from 1994 is a bit of a classic in Nordic black metal, I think. The later '90s albums are definitely worth listening, too. The subject matter in Amorphis's work is often heavily influenced by material from the ancient Finnish lyrical and epical tradition. (Some of this material has been compiled in the Finnish national epic Kalevala, and its lyrical sisterwork Kanteletar during the 19th century.) Btw, I think I've heard that the flautist, flute player, on this track is a guest of honour from the Swiss folk metal/ melodic deathmetal band Eluveitie, which sure as hell sounds like worth a look. Great reaction video, man. Stay safe and keep up the good work. Cheers from Finland.

Oh sure, Amorphis is a good band and Joutsen has vocals to envy. I like the Egyptian theme in the song. Pretty solid song song. I've never been into Amorphis so much I would listen their songs after songs, but casually listening a song here, a song there. Just like now. They are worth to listen more than I've done.

"Where do you find these bands ?" - Finland mostly. "Who are these guys ?" - In that specific case, /the/ pioneers of melodic death metal (as far as I know, they started moving towards that style before the Gothenburg bands) "Who plays a fucking flute on a fucking metal song ?" - Eluveitie does (with a side order of violin and hurdy-gurdy), but I'm sure there are plenty.

Loooove this band/song!! They are criminally underrated. Them and Dark Tranquillity (my other favourite). If you haven't checked their (Dark Tranquillity) stuff, look for "Lost to Apathy", good place to start. They will have a new album out in 2020. :)

Gotta react to Swedish metallers Sabaton! They sing about real military history, events and heroes. Check out Screaming Eagles about the 101st Airborne, Bismarck about the most feared and most powerful battleship of the Battle of the Atlantic, Night Witches about an all female Russian glide bomber regiment, Fields of Verdun about the WW1 battle of Verdun, Primo Victoria about the D-Day landings or Rise of Evil depicting the Nazis rise to power. Cant go wrong with any of these! Or Iced Earth's magnum opus Gettysburg (1863) which clocks in at 32 minutes and covers all 3 days of the Battle of Gettysburg of the American Civil War!! DO IT!!!!

I’m new to this . I’ve been watching from quarantine so Obviously not watching an order but I wanted to tell you Pink Floyd makes their albums so you could put the needle on the first song and listen to it all the way through it’s important it’s the way they put it together they don’t have a group of kids the whole album tells a story I would give it another listen but do it on your own start with Darkside of the moon echoes animals but do it from beginning to end and you will really love it promise be well do you and your wife stay safe

I've only really listened to their early stuff. But this isn't so bad. The singing has always kinda turned me off to them a bit, but I don't mind it too much here. This progressive metal appreciation here definitely makes it seem like you'd be into Between the Buried and Me. A good song to start with them would be "Astral Body" if you ever go down that path.

I'm a volunteer civil rights advocate. I am a white male aged 67 who lives in Los Angeles. I'm a bicyclist and I haven't owned a car in 20 years. In the 1990's bicyclists formed groups and worked their butts off to get bicyclists recognized as a form of transportation in the city of Los Angeles and to fight for our civil rights. Almost everyone in the city of Los Angeles had preconceived ideas about bicyclists: For instance, there was an incident where a group of bicyclists riding fancy road bikes and stylish bicycling specific clothing and shoes were riding in the hills above Hollywood on a two lane road, which means one lane only in each direction. A emergency physician was driving behind them in his luxury german car. He was pissed that the bicyclists were blocking the lane so he got in front of them and slammed on his brakes. Some of the bicyclists went through his rear window. One of them lost part of his nose. The groups formed by the bicyclists were determined to get that man to trial. He was convicted and spent at least 5 years in prison As far as we could tell we had no support from the mayor--who has very little power in the city of Los Angeles and the city council members. The council member who represented the west side, where Bel Air is, told us that up until that event he was ignoring the bicyclists. This councilmember is gay. From then on we had his support 100%. He realized that we were fighting for our civil rights. The bicyclists fought hard to get a network of bicycle lanes on the city of Los Angeles transportation plan that comes out every 10 years. We got it included. This plan was approved by the city council and was immediately signed by mayor Villaraigosa. Mayor Villaraigosa grew up poor and had seen a huge bicycle event that is held on the weekends in Mexico City. He wanted to do something like that in the city of Los Angeles. After he signed that transportation plan he hit the ground running. He had the department that does the road striping work every single day for a year except for Christmas in order to get as many bicycles lanes installed before he left office. The bicyclists up until that point had no idea that the mayor supported us.
