One brand I feel like is kind of forgotten is Purito. I think some people didn’t trust them after the sunscreen incident, which I never understood because it was an issue on the manufacturer’s end that affected multiple brands, and while it is awful it does happen every now and then with sunscreens sadly. Also Purito were the brand that did the most to make sure their customers knew what had happened!! They basically took the fall for everyone else because of that so I actually trust them more now due to how they handled it. And they have some amazing products! Both their new sunscreens are great apparently, I tried one and really liked it so I want to try the other one now

The Klairs unscented toner is my HG. I’ve tried the COSRX propolis toner, Haruharu rice toner, Pyunkang Yul toner and I’ve never been able to finish those because I always ending up missing my Klairs! I don’t even bother trying other toners anymore since I know I won’t love them as much. I’ll be using this for life!

Belif is so great. My BFF doesn’t do anything with skincare - EXCEPT use Aqua Bomb. She says it is the only one like that that doesn’t have a scent. It is a little annoying because their body version is an identical inci list, but is 4x the size for the same price. My friend switched to using that as her face moisturizer, and has had zero issues. I’ve started using their cleansers and SPF too, and both are really lovely. The moisturizers aren’t heavy enough for me.

I didn’t forget about belif lol. I always have it as one of 3 moisturizers I keep stocked. I’ll get a mini moisture bomb in winter and a mini aqua bob in summer. It’s the perfect amount to last through the season. And I love the scent

I used that Cosrx sunscreen for the first time when I went to see Eric Nam (he was also my first kpop concert so lots of firsts that day lol). I didn't repurchase because eye sting but it has some super positive memories associated with it and I can still remember the smell. It brings me back to London on that Easter bank holiday weekend. Thinking about it makes me smile. 💜

That Skin1004 sun serum is sooooo good, I used it the whole summer and plan to buy it again 100%. The Cosrx Aloe one I tried a couple of years ago, but that stung my very sensitive eyes. The Dear Klairs toner was one of my first K-beauty toners. :)

Crazy that so many people love the aloe sun cream and I hate it. Too much for my super oily skin, too heavy, and if I'm using the 2 tsps for adequate coverage I get a white cast. I Love Love Love the Madagascar centella ampoule! So light and it's imo #1 hydrating 1st step. I actually notice the hydration right away and by the time I'm washing off either morn or night! So good! I've repurchased twice!

OMG I am so excited you mentioned belif! For my oily skin the belif moisturiser is the best one I've ever tried. I have been using it for around 4 years and I don't think I'll ever stop. My skin just loves it but it really hurts that they are increasing the price each year. I started purchasing it at around 35 euros and now its up to 39!!

I enjoyed using Belif couple of years ago but never repurchased because I find them expensive. I haven't used Skinfood for a very long time. I went through a phase of trying them many years ago. Neogen real ferment micro Essence was something I would have repurchased. Felt nice on the face but I like to try new products so I never got around to repurchasing. My first time using something similar to that was Iope Bio Essence Intensive Conditioning. If I remember correctly i think I preferred Iope's formula but Neogen's packaging and price.

I love Skin1004... especially how they offer the big sizes. It's so convenient when, ya know, you don't live in South Korea. 😂 I like Purito too, not just for the efficacy of the products, but having 2oz. The larger sizes are so convenient as long as its not like a Vit C that can go bad as fast as an open bottle of wine. I really love K beauty, especially now that they are upping the actives. Just so much variety and quality!!

I HEART the Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner! Soooo refreshing. About serum sunscreens - I'm so confused as to what layer of skincare they're supposed to be. I usually do serums before moisturizers but if it's sunscreen it should be the last thing before primer/makeup, right? Also, is an SPF serum enough to protect from sun damage (assuming you put on the appropriate amount) or is following with another SPF layer recommended?

Does the neogen toner have a strong exfoliating effect? It does contain AHA, BHA, PHA and LHA, but it seems in low concentrations. I’m curious to try the toner out but I’m sensitive to chemical exfoliators.

Hey James! Or anyone else…I have dry skin and loved the one time I was given the Tatcha physical exfoliant that is rice based. Is the Skin Food mask exfoliant at all like it? I know the Tatcha one is a powder, but are the results similar? I may like the Skin Food more, because I have an auto-immune disorder called Crohn’s which makes my skin chronically dry! Thank you James for your recommendations. One I always use that people forget about is the Nivea Soft Cream. It's my daily moisturizer all year round and great for hands and body too! Their 6.8 oz (192g) is about $7 USD. And I think it's been around for at least 30+ years. Cerave and cetaphil's creams are too heavy for my normal skin whilst living in a super humid and hot climate.

I feel the same way about belif! 😆 I was obsessed with the moisturizing bomb but then I moved on to trying slightly more affordable moisturizers but I do miss it now and I’m starting to think it’s just worth it. Lol
