I always had a feeling New Tealand had a lot more room for expanding, but I see it's actually absolutely huge. Would still like to see it get fixed and maybe there are some places you can fit some of the new expensions content in, like plazas and promenades.

This was a heroic effort to save the city. Three cheers for Biffa! The "haf" in "Westhafen" is pronounced like the english word "half", so it would be something like "Vesthalfen" (because "w" is pronounced "v", and "v" is pronounced "f". Don't ask me why).

So glad we got another episode of New Tealand, wasn't expecting that at all and it's a nice way to see out the year. It was the first city I watched from the very beginning after finding videos of Tea port and watching from midway through. After the long wait I assumed we wouldn't be getting another episode.. but you kept to your promise despite all the issues and that's why we love the channel and content you make.

It's a magnificent city; I was always sad when it ended. I wonder if you plan on fully continuing it, I rather hope so, in that case, I have a suggestion. Once you've brought it fully back to life and finished what you were working on; (I remember the last things you worked on was a park/zoo area on an Island and the Queen's Bridge (Koninginnebrug) that never got named. I remember a shorter smaller bridge only a little bit onward, and I always figured that bridge should become the same bridge, and the big one is the Tea Queen Bridge, and the smaller one is the Tea Princess bridge. Would also be nice if you can use the intersection marking tool to change the red bicycle lanes on the bridge to green ones to keep consistency with the rest of the build), maybe instead of immediately expanding do some redeveloping episodes. City Planner Plays often redevelops his cities; usually older parts that were built with less options; doing some of that and giving the original start of the city some love could be interesting. For one thing, I remember you saying in one of the first neighborhoods with the first park you were going to put in a monorail; and then when you unlocked the monorail, you never put it in; finally giving a redeveloped park/neighborhood their promised monorail could be good. PS: It seems trains going to that station are just plain too long; but it's not unrealistic to have stations where longer trains just can't go in the middle of cities, and similarly in a terrain like mountains where long trains just don't go. IRL those trains just can't go there. So it made me wonder; if the newest vehicle-selection mod and/or transit control mod you've installed in the new cities allows you to set the length of the train for stations/and or sections of the track.

Also how the passenger trains merge from the platform track to the main/bypass track at that station is all horky borky; perhaps Biffa can use node controller to smooth the tracks out.

Yes. I'm so glad that New Tealand is back. It is one of my favorite cities you've done, along with Teaville. Perhaps you can go through and redevelop areas one at a time, similar to how City Planner does on occasion. That way you can fix any problems that have cropped up, revise the buildings/themes, and address traffic in that area.

Yes, definitely two thumbs up 👍👍 for more fixing of New Tealand and I would love to see the Bentealey Terminal area developed with the Plazas and Promenades and the Financial District DLCs. Also an oceanside resort on the barrier island at the end of the Cross Sound Drawbridge would be very nice and simply lovely! Oh and I wouldn't worry about the UK style housing popping up; after all New Tealand is part of the British Commonwealth but it really should have Australian style suburbs! Two Dollars Twenty has loads of them on his Oceana build 👌

It would be an interesting experiment to start a new city on the same map without the intention of recreating New Tealand and see what develops. There would probably be many similarities as the map limits and inspires what may be places where. But with more experience, new mods, new content, and perhaps accepting different advice from commentators (though the majority could provide the same feedback as in the original series).

I had something similar happen to my original city, which I keep going back to each time a new DLC comes out. I had a few 'New Tealand' moments myself - had more than half my population die-off which sent it into a downward spiral, but I am happy to say I was able to bring it back as well. These cities are like our children in a way. Cheers

Glad to see this map/city revisited. Yes, more fixing/expanding it content please. I really like the layout of this map, and the creativity for city-building that it offers. There are A LOT of nice looking maps out there that look like they'd be amazing to build on. My only complaint is that so many custom maps (including this one), require loading additional assets/mods that the map maker used. I'd like to see you find a custom map for a future build that doesn't require specific assets/mods just to load the map.

I gotta say, New Tealand made me feel some things and no other city has quite been the same. They have all been enjoyable, but they just don't scratch the same itch that this city did. I would love to see this city make a comeback. Even a post-apocalyptic type game where you basically wipe out most of the city and bring it back from the end and make it even more successful than ever

One way to fix the services for those isolated spots on tops of mountains, is to simply make a tunnel system that covers them. As it's just to deal with a weakness in the game, you can just use some 1u roads and don't bother with steepness or anything like that. Limit the road to service vehicles, and have a short bit of road pop up in each spot. On the places where the road connects to the normal road network you should have all the services close by, and that will take care of all the issues.
