Oh wow! I’m speechless at the beauty of the island, the people, and the food. Every single thing you both shared with us looked absolutely amazing! My mama loved mozuku, so that mozuku tempura….my goshhhhh! Whenever we took road-trip vacations, my mom would always make onigiri and fried chicken as picnic food, so watching you both picnic by the shore, brought back memories. That inarizushi was so light and interesting. Hard to imagine so much umami could be packed into something that looked so plain. So awesome! Can we just talk about that shave ice? Woweeeee! So soft, refreshing, and delicious looking! Thank you both for taking us along on your Okinawan adventure! I loved it!! You are truly in your happy place! ❤️❤️

Thank you guys so much, you bring joy to my home. I'm 42 yrs old, and we have no kids in the house. They become lonely and I can't leave the house due to caretaking. Please make more videos. I prefer the walk tours, yet the food reviews are wonderful.

Just wanted to thank you both for the recommendation. The sata andagi is indeed the BEST we tried in okinawa. It was far up north for us as we were staying near Naha city but the trip was definitely worth it. It was piping hot, crispy and fluffy ❤
Shinichi and Satoshi. As always i love the description and taste of the food you choose. It makes my mouth water just wstching you. You always choose the best food for your channel. Have a beautiful day.

Oh, what a beautiful, delicious day! All the food looked amazing, and your tan, smiling faces communicated what an enjoyable experience you were having. Inarizushi is a nostalgic favorite for me. I was surprised the Okinawan version had so much umami without cooking the aburaage in the sweetened soy and dashi broth! The tempura looked yummy. The sata andagi made my mouth water. And, the tropical fruit shave ice was the ultimate for me. There's no doubt Okinawa is a happy place for you both! Please make time to go relax there (no filming necessary) whenever you need a shot of paradise. Love to you both. ❤❤

It all looks delicious! When you eat or drink fresh pineapple the flavor is just superior! I wanted to ask you what it is you say in Japanese, before you eat. I’m guessing it is something similar that Americans say when they clink glasses and then drink! I'm always surprised by how much Japanese tourists love to go to Honolulu when Okinawa is just an hour away and offers most of what Honolulu has, but with better food.

For the longest time, it used to be more expensive to go to Okinawa and flights to Honolulu was cheaper. That’s the main reason why I never went for the longest time.

The tempura is extremely similar to how we do it in the UK, like practically identical...but a lot of it comes from the chip shop lol Still delicious, though. We call it "battered" more often than tempura, but some shops carry the tempura name in their products to sound healthier I guess lol

How big is Okinawa and how did you get there? The shaved ice, the syrup is so thick it doesn't soak into the ice, stays on top of ice...
@TabiEats2 жыл бұрын
It takes around 3 hours from tokyo by plane. They actually pour a more liquid syrup onto the ice before topping it off with the think one.
@lynnkihara23232 жыл бұрын
Okinawan batter is more like cake batter or a watery andagi batter. A lot of the old time okazuyas in Hawaii used to be that style. Too bad most of them have closed due to lack of interest from the other family members to continue the business.

Just this past week, I tried to watch one of his videos, I want to support with my likes and subscribe. The captioning was in German. Usually the captioning is in Korean. If you can resolve this problem, please do. I want to watch his channel. I can't support. I am a subscriber.
