Amazing Sukhothai Temples UNESCO Historical Park Loy Kratong 🇹🇭 Thailand

Sukhothai is the Ancient Capital of Thailand. The Sukhothai Historical Park is full of great temples. We took a one day trip to Sukhothai from Bangkok. A great time to visit Sukhothai is during Loy Kratong, this festival originates in this Old Thai Capital.
During the festivities the Park becomes a great open air Market and there are many shows and festivities. There are traditional Thai shows. Sukhothai became an UNESCO Heritage Site in 1991. The city was the capital of Thailand from 1238 till 1438.

I did Loy Krathong in Sukhothai several years ago. I thought the parade was charming. And the "sound and light" pageant was really cool. I also liked the spinning light things in Phitsanulok which I haven't seen anywhere else

Actually, there is direct flight daily from Bangkok to Sukhothai by Bangkok Airways.
