One thing at around 6:04 is that if you look at the perspective of the children they're looking DOWN into the flames, in other words her perspective is from *inside* the fireplace looking up at the children. At the end she says the warmth of the hearth is no longer needed and the light fades from her face, another signifier that she sees herself as the hearth.

An interesting thing to note that not many people noticed is that the some of the opening shots, while seemingly being in irrelevant locations, actually reference some sidequests that involve members of the house of the hearth. The one that is especially interesting is I think the shot where she finds a paper in the desert and burns it. You can actually find the piece of paper in-game and it has the lyrics of a song about the house. It's actually found on the remains of one of Arleccino's children (an adult) and the reason they died is because of the player's actions. That being said, considering how said child of Arleccino acted in the quest, I dont think she would hold a grudge against the traveler even if she knew.

The inazuma shot is based off of the secret shrine quest,that also has details about the house I can’t think of anything relating to mondstadt though,none of the stationed fatui members say gave us any knowledge about her

Nice analysis! Here's some additional things I noticed + context: 0:00 In-game, these locations contain spies from the House of the Hearth, which is why these locations may be referenced, sort of showing her reach throughout Teyvat. 1:42 The first girl who runs past is Clervie, the childhood friend. Maybe this implies these were the children she used to be with? 2:10 Children from all the different nations, since the House of the Hearth takes kids from everywhere. 2:29 There was a lore book dropped last patch about a warrior from Khanreiah, and one of the lines from the book was "The crimson moon, hanging high in the pitch-dark night sky, suddenly turned around, revealing itself to be a titanic, horrified eye." There's a lot of similar motifs used in this video as well (eyes, eclipse, crimson)

I wonder how many noticed that Clervie was the first child that passed by her in that part with the children running by. if you're curious for more lore, read Perinheri a book that was added this patch (you can buy it from the Fontaine NPC that sells books). the Crimson Moon/red eye imagery will have a different perspective if you've read it (I forgot where else the Crimson Moon Dynasty was mentioned before this). there's been other stuff related to her that's been sprinkled around a long time too (like the Fortune Slip quest from way back in Inazuma).

Dainsleif introduction says: "Chalk pursues gold, in this time inopportune, the eclipse is swallowed by the crimson moon." Interesting how we can see the last enemy Arlecchino kills in her demo is a Black Serpent Knight which comes from the Eclipse dynasty.

4:05 Idk about the letter itself but the eye is probably more of the focus here, since she seems to have associations with Crimson Moon (her weapon is literally called Crimson Moon Semblance) and we recently got a story about it (with connection to Khaenri'ah) where it mentions a red moon turning around to reveal a giant eye, something that is also present later in the trailer 7:55 Interestingly enough, the blackhole background (not Crimson Moon as in other arts of her) actually looks quite similar to background of Dainsleif's character card posted by Genshin's JP twt long ago, which might tie in to the thing i mentioned above. They actually have a few similarities, with the biggest for me being that Dain flames/powers look like the blue version of Arlecchino's flames/powers 11:24 So, i'm pretty sure the first girl that runs past (the closest to the camera) is Arlecchino's friend Clervie, cuz she has similar open-shoulder dress, ribbon on the head, necklace, hair color and there're no children with that design later in the choir (but all the other children who run past are present in the choir) 12:20 I wonder if this supposed to symbolize all the other children she killed during King selection process that we didn't see in animated short 13:41 So, and i'm not sure, but during last 3-4 frames here, there seems to be a white, what looks like, butterfly and i wonder if that is a symbolism for Clervie looking on, which is relatively common for anime Also, the fact that she fights a shadowy husk knight at the end also ties in to the khaenri'ah connections i think

I really love your breakdowns. This one was easily my favorite largely because they went crazy with Arlecchino's demo and she's such a mysterious character so there was a lot to explore. You mentioned a lot of interesting things that I'll most definitely be paying close attention for in her voicelines and the quests.

Given what we've seen of her backstory and how she shows her care in very subtle ways even if she doesn't express it emotionally or verbally often, there's actually some interesting imagery to me. The first big moment that stuck out to me was obviously when she was in that sky-like scene and she pauses, seems to compose herself, and then begins walking in the opposite direction of the running children. With how muted the colors are in general one can consider it the children she either lost along the way as the head of the House of the Hearth or the children from her youth. Despite that though they begin singing for her and she turns, color, a certain life returns to scene and she watches them, if quietly. There's some subtext I think you can say can be found in her feeling remorse or sense of loss for those kids but that they also still give her life to a certain degree. Continuing the scene, as the darkness creeps in--and if we continue the prior interpretation--the children singing cuts out as she hushes them and then unleashes an attack against said darkness, perhaps telling them to be quiet and then defending them. It's the final scene though that really gets me because one thing to be mindful of is that she's a fire user. To comment on how the children no longer have a need of the flame of the House of the Hearth for they have the strength to defend themselves as she also turns away from children and the light--the warmth--otherwise upon her with a...downcast expression I think betrays how much she actually would like to stay in their lives but perhaps thinks it's for the best. They've put a lot of small clues into the kind of person Arlecchino is beneath the surface and it makes her a very deep and interesting character to me that I can't help but be extremely intrigued by.

Lore rumor has it she is part of the crimson moon dynasty, hence the crimson moon being part of her asthetic, if she’s full blooded khaenerian is unclear, she’s not Fontaine, but has a szenzayah vision but her curse and her glitch idle is a rumor that her char is glitch in teyvat system kinda like the matrix if you will,

i love your breakdown! at the end when you talked about the innocence fading away and such, personally i think 'the flame' Arlecchino refer to was herself bcs of Arlecchino's constellation image. every genshin characters has a 'constellation' that represents them in the sky and the image it draws telling them the character's fate. Arlecchino's constellation is shaped almost like a hand holding a match with a small flame, the interesting part of the image is the fact that the 'flame' is a background image (you should google it). Hence, i think Arlecchino thinks for whatever reason she will have to 'go away'. 'the flame is no longer needed'. she's no longer needed bcs her children is now strong enough without her. possibly she will 'test' them just like in the trailer 4.6 by fighting against them, not make the children fight amongst themselves like she did.

We do have some lore about her eyes now. She's a descendant of the "Crimson Moon Dynasty", from Khaenri'ah (the underground human/godless city that was destroyed in the cataclysm 500 years ago, which our evil(?) twin is trying to revive). The Crimson Moon (blood moon?) has some connection to that huge eye in her video. The Eclipse Dynasty took over after the Crimson Moon Dynasty (moons and stars are hugely central to Genshin's world, somehow). Anyway, her powers, her black hands, and her blood-crossed eyes & blood(?)-powers are all related to her lineage. That dynasty also created an orphanage for outworlders, and she seems to be descended from one of those orphans. Now she runs an orphanage, though it's more like a child-soldier/spy training school, like what Marvel's Black Widow grew up in. She's 4th in the Fatui, and her power-level is explained as just below that of gods.

Hypotheses: The children are her all hearth children that have died presumably from battle, etc. Showing that while she presents as unfeeling, she remembers them all. I believe the aspect ratio shortening was supposed to represent her (very minor spoiler) separate Inner Monologue from her Actions.

Of course, her design is distinct from the typical Genshin elements because her curse is most likely from worlds outside Teyvat, it explains her glitching, too. Maybe she's related to the Forbidden Knowledge that's not supposed to exist in this world. However, her Balemoon is very different from your typical blue/purple Abyss Order magic as well. (e.g. Dainsleif) At the end of the demo, we saw the hand grasping an Abyss Herald, I think it's by design. Instead of a single otherworldly force that destroyed Khaenri'ah all those years ago, there might be two opposing forces from outside Teyvat. Perhaps one associated with the Heavenly Principle (1st descender?), and the other associated with the dead 3rd descender.

Alrecchino is from the Crimson Moon Dynasty of a fallen nation. So far of that nation, (I forgot how to spell it), there are two dynasties. First, which is the Crimson Moon, then it is the Eclipse dynasty. Her pupils and her domain expansion prove so. Pierro, kaeya and albedo are from the eclipse dynasty but they are not important. She was cursed from birth because everyone from that nation is doomed to be cursed because of Celestia. Spider powers aren't normally seen in people so my guess she has remains of a deceased god within her. ( For example the dottore and collei case.) opinion Simplified from my 4 years of genshin

All of this glitching, as well as scaramouche being present in her flashback trailer makes me think that she is not from Teyvat, and the glitching is Imrisul(the database of teyvat) trying to make sense of her existence as something that should not exist in Teyvat. There is also the crimson moon and perinheri connections but that is deep lore and we need to see her character story to learn more about it.

Her trailer is insane, even better than Kafka's. As for Arlecchino herself, after finishing her quest I can safely say that she is the most badass woman in all of HoYo's games. She is amazing beyond belief. edit: And she is broken both in-game (not even maxed yet) and in-lore. She is a fricking monster in terms of power, if the top 3 are far above her (which I doubt, because even the Archons will be nothing to them in that case), then the Traveler has no chance in hell ever defeating them.

At first I just thought only those with uncontrollable, otherworldly power, different in strength or something like that will have EDM in the song.
