Could be but a lot of people have this issue... A lot of people think if I tweak it and I do this I do that and I can change this and come out the same... It's just human nature but what they're failing to realize you and them.. is that I've already tried it those ways and probably three dozen others.. and what I'm showing on these videos is the personification or the outcome of all those experiments and testings and variations of different combinations... And this is the best choice.... Far as techniques or products.. .

If they do nothing...drive every day and don't ever wash their car.... it will last in good looking new condition for 13 months...,(I've seen it first hand) This doesn't mean it falls off, or turns back to how they were magically.. Just means you might notice a difference in the clear tint , or s spot that might be a bit yellow... typically with basic to moderate care the vehicle should be get anywhere from 16-, 24 months of that new look.... My vehicle is going on 48 months... With after alot is possible

@theheadlightrestorationpro
@theheadlightrestorationpro Жыл бұрын
It should state briefly why that is in this video during that step.. There are many reasons.. For one that's not paint.. when deal with paint this is a good idea some what(even though I don't approve it when working with paint) But with paint you don't have to worry about transparency... These preps and things will leave residue behind on a transparent surface this can lead to cloudiness and less clarity, also believe it or not it destarilyzes the area, nothing you can put on that light can out sterilize 7800 RPM plus the fact that the Polish I'm using is cleaner polish.. which means it's sterilizing and cleaning the plastic at the same time as the heat/friction from the 7800 RPM.. Also other factors that are mentioned in this video..(you should rewatch at least the end piece when I'm speaking about the light passes through the headlight) Polycarbonate is Rich with oils that are natural to its makeup.. through degradation of the headlight service and servicing (sanding down) strip set of its natural oil at least on that surface area which is problematic for headlight health.. leaving my new traces of this residue behind aiding in hydration and locks in Oils from the compound... This not only improves headlight health, but increases clarity and lighting output.... Should watch the last half again also there's other videos up as well that touch bases on this topic... Thank you for watching..💯😊

You're actually wrong that's the problem you're doing something that I don't do which is probably why your stuff doesn't come out the way mine does.. food for thought if I do it a certain way 40 50 60 times on a channel it's pretty much proven if you do the same way but yet everybody always thinks I can do one little thing like a wash my pads which is extremely not recommended and more than likely why product isn't coming out as good or clear... 😏

@@theheadlightrestorationpro well the pad clogs does it not, so your oad performs the same when its new as to when the last time it is used? Haha. No way man. Same with towels. No way it is as grabby when it was used on an as a fresh clean properly washed towel. Pads are definitely made to be cleaned. Ask detailers that have had their pads for 10 years! Lol. Put them through hell and the pad gets washed and still lasts.
@theheadlightrestorationpro
@theheadlightrestorationpro Жыл бұрын
Headlight Restoration has little to do with detailing the rest of the vehicle as a restoration specialist and a high-end detailer and a specialist of headlight restoration I can inform you this. Towels have nothing to do with the pads especially used on headlights.. these pads are meant to break down if they're not breaking down after every use or every other use you're doing something wrong....💯 If you pay attention to some of my videos some of the pads are extremely thin quarter of an inch if not less versus the inch and a quarter brand new pads.... They self-surfaced themselves... This is why I don't have an issue with them... And yes towels need to be clean to an extent... This is why you usually use clean towels.. the pad is a whole different subject when it comes to headlights and cars.. as a topic of the day must be cuz I have to keep telling everybody headlights is not detailing cars it's a thousand percent different and the sooner people get it out of their mind that is the same thing the better they'll be at headlights...💯 And yes obviously I get the same results every time because you see all my videos up with the same results.. And these are probably about a quarter of what I do I don't feel every one of them because I don't have time... Oh in fact they actually perform better when they're broken in..😱 it's the main reason why you see me using them all the way down till I can't use them no more why would you think I do that.. have a box of 30 of them that's been in there for 2 years... They're not to be viewed as a regular pads that you use to polish vehicles this is where you're making a mistake while your stuff is not coming out correct doing this method probably one of the main reason..

I watch towels all the time all my towels are like a year and a half old I just bought a new pack of ultra premiums from Amazon the Costco brand Kirkland which is some of the best I've ever used.. same ones you see in all the videos the.. If I could give you any advice would be to stop washing them you're messing up your Restorations..... The resurfaced themselves experiment with them and see the best way for you to resurface them mine do it just from amount of use.. There are ways to force this and you have to figure that out on yourself or I'll tell people again and future videos..

This method will last from about 15 months to 5 years if you take care of the vehicle... proper car, aftercare and a little knowledge goes a long way...I have an outside vehicle.. 100% of the time and at the end of next month the headlight restoration will be 4 years old on it..(same exact method) the 15 months is if you just don't take care of your vehicle well and it's a outside vehicle and or high mileage as far a driving, primarily freeway mileage.. With that being said that is just how long the look PERFECT.. They don't hit those days and times and just go bad as the were...your just going to notice little differences, maybe a top corner slight yellow, or fog...not full blown bad as it was before... The can says 1 year... that's just a disclaimer for those people that take really poor care of their vehicle, or SPECIAL circumstances... Yes I have tried all of those products in different combinations.. The jet seal is not ideal by itself.. Good product like a lot of ceramics but same issue with thickness...it has issues on headlights with impacting... Which affects the headlights health drastically.. Also the longevity..it basically washes off after sometime... Also if you like 3m you're on the right track.. But just always remember... plastic is hugely different than paint and clear coated surfaces.. using too much product can really affect the clarity of your finished product..Try the 3M hard lens plastic cleaner polish (listed in my bio) Stay tuned and check some more of my videos out...a lot coming up .. @@theheadlightrestorationpro I do all the exact process with exact tools except different coating only because it is not available in Israel and Amazon don’t ship the CO2 products by air. And the result is amazing. I also tried different sanding materials and plastx as well, but all this as you are saying makes a huge difference. P500 gold disc is like P800 from cheaper makers, p800 white disc is amazing and more accurate than another’s P2000 and trizact is midblowing, it’s truly a magic pad. Hand sanding is also a very important step and you can’t polish like in the video without 7-8k rpm. I also tried many things and this is really a top method.

Barely any... Very light....fim seat against the light is more important than pressure... @@theheadlightrestorationpro need to mention that it is a good question, for me it took 3-4 cars (6-8 lights) when I only started to feel the dry sanding of this material. I am straight handed and engineer educated, but this is a feeling process, believe it or not. Naturally, you want more pressure, but you should always stop yourself from pushing hard. And you can't see it on the video, just by focusing on the pad that is not sponged at all. But when you feel it, the process becomes very easy.
