How are you? I’ve been following your videos and bought the things you recommended . I have a specific question. You probably don’t answer these, but I am going to give it a shot. I did 4 cars so far and I’m having an issue with the Finnish like turning, I guess kind of greasy or a dim on them after about a month or so. Have any thoughts or suggestions?…..I’m in Connecticut, so am no completion for you, not that I would be anyway. Is it because the polish I am using is not completely wiped off or still wet under the final coat? Any help would be greatly appreciated …..thank you.

Doesnt the protectant in the plast x have protectant polymers and wouldn't that interfere with adhesion of the spray coating?
@Craig419Күн бұрын
The Mirror Glaze plastic polish has a coating in it. I wouldn't use it with a headlight restoration as it might interfere with the UV coating applied at the end. Any polish Megs tags with "glaze" means there's something added to it to fill in things, add gloss, etc. Anytime you don't have a truly clean surface, I think it will affect the long term outcome of a restoration.

Nope - use Mothers Mag and Aluminium Polish, no sanding just a soft cloth and rub. Then seal it.

Maybe Im lost because this video seems more professional and talking about about a “back up kit” Not an instructional video of how to do the job. Voice over too much and less speaking about the process. Maybe this is an advertisement for the product itself!

How long does your restored headlights last before they need to be redone?? ps respectfully, you might need to stop talking for a moment to allow your watchers to digest all that info you are throwing at us.

Love your videos Sir. Thanks for the info. I have a quick question though. I have done a few 05-07 f150's and all of them seem to remain foggy after i have completed my service and clear coated. Can you give me any tips for this vehicle? Have you came across this problem with this truck?

I recently done my head lights wet sanding and it is possible to get it as clear thw only difference is wet sanding is more affective if foing it by hand as you can feel if you have gone deep enough but wet sanding using a drill it is a compleate geuss

What was the actual polish put on at 9:47. You need a microphone sponge cover. Too much breathing into the mic. Multiple coat is imperceptible to the human eye insofar as light output.

These Headlites are like so many other things on Cars of the past two decades ,Gimmicks. just wait ‘till those idiotic new Marker- and Taillites start pooching out and the subsequent repair/ replacement cost. All these imbecile things make our Cars look like cheap , silly Arcade Game-Consoles. Somebody had a Ford F150 with new style Tail-lites. Ended up with water getting in, final repair was an eye watering 7 Grand! No thanks, Don’t need that shit.
