''The fishing lesson''... so much could be said (or thought:-) but it's so cute and certainly was so innocent :-) My favorite!

I'm with you though. I think there must be at least 4 new species, as yet unknown to man, in that thing !

@@AmazingHistoricalPhotos 🤣Absolutely and fair play to the man's tenacity with such a thatch and the patience of his poor wife as you can bet as much as he may well have wanted that thing I imagine he was scratching and moaning on a regular basis wrestling with it like a mountain lion, I would think it was like a menu down that thing, eggs-Monday, spaghetti-Tuesday and so on throughout the week 🤣please don't stop bringing us these time capsules to marvel at, thank you, your work is appreciated ✌️

Glad you enjoyed it! … and if I thought my audience would tolerate it, every single picture would be of cats 🤣🤣 They are the best little beasts on the planet 👍🏻

Comedy Kings and Darth Vader's Dad were my favourites, though there were a lot of great photos here. The convict hulk in Hobart in1857 reminded me of a story. My great-grandmother (who died in the 1970s) knew a ticket-of-leave convict that she met in her girlhood. Australia's convict transportation history seems a distant era, yet I knew a woman who knew a convict. That one-step-removed provenance gives the Nineteenth century more immediacy, for me at least.

I wonder if James Earl Jones' dad was still around when star wars came out? I imagine him saying to James "I AM YOUR FATHER" 🤣👍
