I bought the cheapest whetstone from amazon, just $7 dollars!!
the stone does its job, but definitely is not a 1000 grit stone, compared to any other brand, feels and works more like 600-700 grit...
I would recommend this whetstone if you start to freehand sharpening or you need to do some maintenance to keep decent edge on your knife ...
