Well, These are the exact copy of the Fenda R60bt model speaker, an Indian Brand called "Fenda Audio". The grills had F&D logo on it, but it was removed ( you can see the two holes on the bottom of the grill ). And the Amp on the back got replaced ( This may tell why they are 80 watts and not 120 watts as the R60bt were 120 watts ). The F&D R60bt were 60Watts each ( 120W total output ), and the amazon basics are 40W each ( 80W total output ). Apart from some minor changes mentioned above the amazon basics speaker is exact copy of F&D R60bt, Although the F&D R60bt costs around 7,000 - 10,000 Rupees (100 - 130 USD). I personally own the F&D R60bt , and I can tell that the audio of R60bt is far better than the amazon basics copy. But at 50USD the amazon basics are kindoff good. [ I think the price fluctuation is due to the scam they are doing with fenda audio speakers ]

Look for deals (Amazon will sometimes have them or check Reddit)> pair the speakers with a dac and voalla! You got a simple set up :) A little had to do when you’re 16 but don’t worry, little by little! Happy birthday again!

Delet stands install rubber feet see if response flattens out. Change out "XO's" (likely a single capacitor & coil in these), search 'hifi crossover 2-way' on the Amazon. Finally, cut a towel to size & staple on the interior.

These have no internal cross-over. I opened up a pair ($30 impulse buy) and noticed the tweeter was daisy chained to the woofer. Probably the reason why it doesn't sound that good.

Amazon really did its market research homework. Get an optical input from a smart TV, and the analouge input from a cheap turntable or a casette tape deck. Boom. I'd love to buy this for my dad. But I could also just not buy the amazon branded weirdo thing, and get something proper. But they dont sell swans in europe. Why is it so hard to find a reasonably priced powered speaker in an optical and analouge input, dammit. A dac and passive speakers are generally more expensive
